- Skydio Remote Ops -
Command drones everywhere, all at once, from anywhere.
Rapid response or scheduled flight. Hand activated or Dock launched. One drone or many at once. Skydio Remote Ops software lets you fly wherever you want, whenever you want, and however far you want.
Remote Ops gives you full control from launch to landing.
Fly your way. When it comes to controlling your drones, Remote Ops gives you multiple options. Fly with a keyboard, mouse, controller, or a combination. Every operator can choose what works best for them.
Fly where you need to, automatically.
Intelligent Fly to Point lets you send your drone to GPS coordinates, addresses, or teammate locations-by selecting a point on the map or through integration with your dispatch systems. The drone flies there autonomously, with pilot oversight.
Get there fast, with safety built in.
Skydio Pathfinder automatically charts and flies the safest, most efficient route-accounting for terrain, obstacles, geofences, and airspace rules-so operators can focus on the mission, not the map.
Let your drones work for you. Not the other way around.
Drones stationed where the work happens become an autonomous workforce to conduct scheduled missions, capture data for real-time intel or detailed analysis post-flight.
One operator, multiple drones.
Multiply your productivity by giving one operator the ability to command your entire drone fleet across multiple sites from one Remote Ops command center.
Easily capture repetitive data sets with powerful mission planning and scheduling tools. Skydio's Visual Positioning System enables real-time environmental mapping for precise, reliable data collection-mission after mission.
Streamline asset inspection workflows by uploading your existing datasets and turning them into ready-to-fly missions in just a few clicks. Skydio automates mission planning so your teams can focus on analysis, not flight planning.
Autonomous tracking that frees the pilot.
Skydio Shadow locks onto subjects with precision most pilots can't match, turning the Skydio X10 into a reliable teammate that never loses sight. It automatically keeps a safe distance, avoids obstacles, and quickly reacquires a target if the line of sight is broken-so pilots can stay focused on the mission, not the controls.
Always ready, day or night.
Operations don't stop at dusk. Skydio Shadow supports both color and thermal cameras, so you can track and follow subjects in any lighting condition.
Augmented reality overlays for instant context.
Skydio augmented reality overlays project street names, addresses, and mission markers directly onto the flight screen. Operators stay oriented at a glance without breaking focus, so they can coordinate faster, navigate with confidence, and make better decisions in the moment.
Safely get wherever you need to be with advanced autonomy and onboard AI.
Trustworthy obstacle avoidance lets you fly free in any direction. Sideways, up, down and backwards-even when you can't see your drone. So you can easily complete complex missions with total confidence.
Don't let obstacles get in your way, or your shot.
Easily fly in, around, or over obstacles as small as a half-inch diameter wire to gain the vantage point you need, without fear of crashing.
Work doesn't stop at night. Neither will Skydio.
Operate autonomously in zero-light environments, avoiding obstacles and safely returning home with NightSense.
Share the air safely, and scale your missions.
Operate multiple Skydio X10s in the same airspace. Automatic deconfliction ensures safe, efficient missions at any scale.
Near or far, Skydio Connect keeps you linked.
Reliable connectivity ensures your drones go as far as the mission demands. Stay connected through signal shadows and beyond point-to-point limits with built-in 5G/LTE connectivity.
Skydio Connect Fusion+ automatically blends point-to-point connectivity with multiple cellular networks for optimal performance-no switching, no thinking required.
Turn drones into trusted teammates.
Fly together
Seamlessly hand off control between operators so your field units can do their jobs, and your pilots can do the flying
Organize work by incident or task type instead of individual flights
Command fleet-wide with a single piece of flight software for all your Skydio drones, whether docked or handheld
Work as a team
Get teammates' eyes on live streams in an instant with Skydio ReadyLink. Remote Ops integrates with common streaming platforms to send video to wherever people are watching
Integrate in existing workflows
Launch flights automatically with built-in alert integrations. Deliver streams and datasets to where they are most useful with Skydio Extend integrated workflows.
Compliant by design.
Technology built to enable your Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations.
Airspace awareness
Maintain airspace awareness for your remote operators in command with ADS-B sensing and integrations with Dedrone and other radar providers.
Remote pilot compliance
Remote Ops streamlines Remote ID compliance for your operations center.
Safety checks
Ensure your operators know whether it's safe to fly with a suite of safety information so they can make more informed decisions about whether and where to take off.

- Cellular Plan -
The second generation Skydio X10 supports remote operation over LTE and 5G networks using your own SIM card and data plan on approved networks*. While this gives you flexibility to choose the mobile carrier and plan that best fits your needs, there are some unique considerations for drones that typical consumer plans do not account for.
Key Plan Considerations
When evaluating a data plan for your Skydio X10, ensure the following criteria are met:
Plan Type: Data-Only SIM (5G Standalone Preferred)
The X10 supports 5G Standalone (SA) and LTE networks. For best performance, ask your carrier if they offer 5G Standalone (SA) plans, which typically provide:
Better uplink speeds and latency
Advanced features like network slicing or URLLC (if available)
Data Requirements
Typical use case: under 50-100 GB per month
Heavy use (e.g., Drone as First Responder with Dock): up to 500 GB per month
This level represents -20 flights per day, every day
When speaking with your provider: "I need a data-only plan that allows for up to 500 GB of usage monthly, with most of the data being uploaded."
Uplink Speed
The drone streams video at -5 Mbps uplink
Plans that cap uplink below 5 Mbps may impact video quality
Ask for upload speeds of 5-10 Mbps, ideally unthrottled
Altitude Restrictions
Some cellular plans restrict use on "airborne" devices
Let your provider know: "This is for a low-altitude drone operating under 400 ft AGL, used for commercial/public safety purposes."
Most X10 flights are below 200 ft, so plans with a 400 ft ceiling are acceptable.
Fleets and Pooled Plans (Optional)
If you operate multiple drones or vehicles:
Ask about pooled data plans shared across devices
A good starting point could be 1 TB per month, depending on the size of your fleet
Adjust the total based on the number of drones you plan to operate concurrently
Consider plans with custom SLAs or negotiated QoS if available
Priority Access for Public Safety
If you are a public safety agency, first responder, or other eligible entity, you should consider a data plan that includes priority network access and preemption. Many U.S. carriers offer these capabilities through the federal Wireless Priority Service (WPS) program, which can improve connectivity during emergencies or network congestion.
