looks cheap

This tripod is very light 2.14lb and only about 20in when folded, which is good to carry around. I wanted to use my point and shoot camera and to record video but the controls are very stiff and makes too much shakes because of that. it will not hold my Dslr camera and I knew that. Also the clamps in the quick release plate seems weak and might break very soon. As it does not do the work i want,I am returning this.

The Slik F143 tripod is the lightest of the new F series of economical, lightweight tripods for the casual photographer or videographer. Capable of holding lightweight digital SLR camera and video cameras the F143 has a smooth moving 3-way pan head that gives as good performance when recording video as it does holding the a camera for still shots. The F143 has a lockable mid-level spreader to keep all legs even at the same angle.
