I bought this camera for versatility above and below water. Read a lot of great reviews so I bought it. I was instantly disappointed by the cheap quality of the camera case. Never having been dropped the lens protector has a 50% chance of closing after one trip. I took the camera to Chile/Argentina for a month. I can not be more dissappointed in the photos it took. Out of 700 photos only a handful are acceptable. Poor focus, can't capture color very well, and horrible adjusting to light. I compared my photos with friends photos standing right next to me. This camera performed horribly. After the trip I compared photo quality with my trip to New Zealand with a 5 year old Pentax 5.0MP OptioWp. It wasnt even a competition, the Sealife is terrible. I am frustrated to have had a month in Chile/Argentina and not captured it in pictures. I would not recommend this camera for above water use (I haven't used it underwater yet) and wish that I could return it. I recommend purchasing a good digital camera and a waterproof housing.
