Super light, doesn't take space in your luggage. It comes with a nice carry bag. Very easy to use and pack. It comes with a handy flash light but no bag hook for extra stability. Works fine for a light camera and solid terrain. I wouldn't use it on sand as it is not very sturdy

One of the best tripods I have. Excellent quality and finish. Light but stable for mirrorless camera with normal lens or short zoom.

When closed up, the tripod is very compact; easily carried in checked (or carry-on) baggage. Even though light weight it supported my EOS 5D Mk III with Tamron 150-600 mm lens attached. The wide range of leg adjustments is great. The LED light isn't great, but was not the reason I bought the tripod.

Easy to collapse and extend for fast set ups. Very light weight, so don't put a super heavy camera/lens combo on it. The head is very light, small ball, so be careful especially if you use it for a vertical shot. And don't keep the camera on it then carry the tripod over your shoulder, too risky to drop the camera. the flashlight is a little gimmicky and not easy to insert the batteries, but might prove useful. Overall good compromise of weight and support. I hate heavy tripods, so am more likely to carry this one than none at all. Well made.

The nicest thing about this tripod is the case. It comes with a very nice and durable looking carrying case. I was not impressed with the tripod. When I received it I opened it up all the way and was disappointed by how flimsy the legs were. The ball head although small seemed sturdy, but it was not nearly beefy enough for my Nikon D3.I returned it the next day.

It is light, compact, and steady. It is the best light duty tripod I'v e ever used. I highly recommend this tripod when you can't carry your heavy duty tripod.

Love the ease of use and the weight. Could do without the light but a handy feature as well.

Bought this to pair with the new Olympus EM-1 Mark II. Being aluminum it feels a bit flimsy compared to my carbon fiber ones for regular DSLR's. So far I'm happy with it.

The Slik Lite Travel Series are the first tripods to incorporate an integrated, removable LED flashlight in the center column to illuminate your camera bag while shooting at night. Built from the highest quality European 8-layer carbon fiber.
The new Rapid Flip Mechanism locks (patent pending) allow the legs to invert 180 degrees for more compact storage and transportation. When its 5 leg sections are fully retracted the CF-522 is less than 14 inches (356mm) long, making it easy to stow in a carry-on suitcase or backpack. Despite its compact retracted size, it's a full-size tripod reaching over 57 inches (1448mm) when fully extended. Lightweight European 8-layer carbon fiber keeps this travel tripod to less than 2.3 lbs (1.04kg) while maintaining a superior weight to load ratio. The tripod also has a gearless, detachable and invertible center column that separates to convert to a short column for low angle photography.
