This tripod packs up compactly, is light and is sturdy for APS-C sized cameras. I tested this tripod indoors fully extended with no center column and 3 sections extended with some center column extension using up to a Nikon D5300 with a 16-85 mm lens shooting at 30s.

I am very happy

I am very happy with my Slik 624 CF. solely used for hunting, it's stable enough for my Zeiss spotting scope as well as my Swarovski 15x56's. Well made and has all the features expected of a great tripod.

This tripod packs up compactly, is light and is sturdy for APS-C sized cameras. I tested this tripod indoors fully extended with no center column and 3 sections extended with some center column extension using up to a Nikon D5300 with a 16-85 mm lens shooting at 30s.

The PRO 624 CF has for short leg sections that extend to a maximum height of 47.4 inches but close down to remarkable 16.3 inches. With a weight of 1.8 lbs this tripod is an easy traveler that can be used in situations where a full-sized tripod would not be needed or not be convenient to carry.
