never failed me on the u5500. I probably shouldn't do this but it's easy to tighten with the camera already mounted on the tripod. sometimes leave the clip on in the camera bag too

Works and fits well
Fit my Canon 6D camera and my old Slik tripod perfectly - the bottom is approximately 1 3/8 inches square that is approximately 1/4 inch high (picture of other side of the shoe attached)

Excellent quality same as oem
Excellent quality fits perfectly on my SLIK SDV-20, installed to my T6S camera and it works same as the oem part, will definitely recommend this part, if you need any extra adapter for your SLIK tripod this is the right option, just be sure to check compatibility before purchasing.

Best decision I ever made
This the easiest piece of camera equipment to use!! You just slide it in, and use the locking mechanism on your tripod to hold it in place. Takes less than a minute to install.

It slips out easily
The quick release shoe pops or slips out easily even when it is snapped in. I don't think it should pop out until it is released, but it does. I worry that once the camera is attached it is going to just slip right out.

Perfect fit
I use this shoe on a Slik U8000 tripod and I couldn't be happier with it. It gives me great flexibility because when I want stability, I lock this into the tripod; yet when I need to go hand-held, the shoe can be QUICKLY released from the tripod!

Fits the U8000 Tripod Perfect
I thought I had lost the original tripod shoe so I got this one instead of replacing the whole unit. It fit my Slik U8000 perfect. My daughter found the original shoe on one of her old camera bodies. Now I can do a quick change using one tripod when I have 2 cameras out for a shoot.

Suggestion
The tops of all these things look much the same. You might include a picture of the bottom. Many tripods use the same type of attachment, such as a square knob. What is on this one?
