I’ve been looking for a creative lens and a 35mm beyond the Sony F1.4. Knowing that Sigma has released a 35mm F1.2 that has great reviews, I wanted to give this little manual lens a chance to fight. I am very impressed with the center sharpness from MFD up to common portrait distances. At infinity it is really soft though. Nonetheless I tested it on my A7RIII and with that demanding sensor I am happy with the results I have been getting. Beautiful bokeh and unique wide angle images that make it easy to walk around with for photos. Manual focus and aperture rings are well dampened and I have had no issues manually focusing this lenses. I’ve only missed a few shots. Overall a great addition for creative photos and great bokeh are a fraction of the sigma autofocus lens price. I’ll be posting some sample images on my YouTube channel this week. https://www.youtube.com/macromarvin

Very good product. I like the bokeh it produces. Plus the fact that it is not that expensive

I tested 3 copies of this lens before buying, 2 were identical and one was slightly less good. The build Quilty and feel is excellent (can't attest to long term durability) I also have the 50mm F1.1, the 35mm has better center sharpness, both lenses degrade very quickly from a usable center area. Both lenses produce a surprising amount of sharpness when stoped down to F4-8. though the far corners will remain slightly soft.I am not seeing a lot of Color fringing. Of course, I did not buy these for overall sharpness there are many other lenses that can do that. You are buying these lenses for the beautiful and sometimes unpridicable quality that they bring to a portrait, etc.. So, depending on your expectations and intended use you will love these lenses or find them totally useless.
