I brought this to Iceland in 2018 and I was sorry I did. There's a magenta color cast in the corners which is difficult to correct since it isn't universal. I haven't used it again since. I'll stick to my fixed filters.

I was recommended this filter by a fellow friend and videographer and I’ve enjoyed it very much. If you do film, this tool is a must. I use it on a Sony 16-35 GM Lens with a Sony A7Riii. The turning pin is so smooth with perfect friction and is very useful while hand holding. My only issue is that I catch a little bit of vignetting when I shoot completely wide at 16 mm. Other than that, buy it! The price is well worth it!

This filter can be used as your everyday filter. If you leave it on the lowest setting, it's like having a UV filter on your camera. The settings are very gradual and great for landscape photography. The glass is excellent and no distortion is detected with the eye, if there is any. I'm using it on a Nikon D810 and I would definitely recommend this filter.

This filter is great. Minimal color shift, and sharpness remains the same. I really wish I could get this filter working well (as Variable) on my Genustech Matte Box Lite (I use a circular filter to 4x4 filter tray adapter). The knob is removable but it is very hard to turn the filter in the matte box. There is some vignetting on a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 DXII with the 4x4 adapter, but 14mm works without vignetting, on a Canon APS-C DSLR (Canon 7D). Without the matte box, the filter has no vignetting because of the 86mm (I believe) outside diameter compared to the inner diameter which is 77mm which fits on the lens. Can't really use lens hoods with this filter. I could attach filter directly to matte box without adapter (it's clamp on) but since the filter rotates I don't think this will work well. The slight issue is the circular polarizer. I find it a bit cumbersome to use in real shooting scenarios. It works, but it's a bit odd and annoying. Wish it was easier to use it since the polarizing is so important. Also, the filter cap really should fit in with the case, come on! Overall, though, great filter, and best I could find. - Paul

Works just as advertised. I'm very happy with the results using a Nikon D810 DSLR. So nice to have one filter, easily adjusted for several shots at different densities, instead of changing filters.

I bought this filter for a recently-acquired lens that uses 82mm filters. I have a 77mm variable ND (which fits 3 lenses) from a different company with which I am very satisfied, but frankly, the SLR Magic filter was literally half the price for the 82mm size, it promised great things, so I decided to get it. On the plus side, it seems to be distortion free, and is significantly more even in its darkening effect than other, similar-priced ones I looked at. I have detected no significant color shift, edge artifact etc. That said, it is not quite the equal of high-end filters both in evenness and F-Stop range, but it IS a good value for the money, better quality than most, and gets the job done.
