STACY D : so in the demo - you can add a different lens ? No leaks?LARRY S : Yes you can add the additional lens but it is cumbersome. I have used this camera quite a bit and no leaks. The pictures come out amazing when there is a lot of sunlight and your water depth is about 12 feet. You DO need to buy the additional light which can be attached and must be attached on non sunny days and at depths of 15 feet and lower. Once the light was purchased (expensive but needed and worth it) this little camera can't be beat. Well it can be beat but now you're talking $3000+. Hope this helps
Shopper : Can this camera also take pictures on dry land?SAMUEL S : Yes, it takes either underwater or on land. When you first start it, you are asked if you want it to set itself for underwater or land photos. You merely answer which you want. You can set it fir using the camera with external strobe, or camera alone. You can shoot stills (strobe, built in strobe, or available light) or video. In video, you can purchase an external, led light to illuminate the subject. I bought it for snorkeling in the Keys. Surface shots are too bright and blows out highlights. It's hard to shoot using the LCD screen, especially in bright light levels. The built-in strobe won't light the moon, but causes the external strobes to trip as slaves. That means no cords to connect the strobes. Shots are JPG. You can use up to an 8 meg SDHC card. It's not a high quality camera with fantastic optics. But it's cheap and rubberized which protects it somewhat climbing back onto a dive boat. It comes with a wide-angle auxiliary lens. Stay wet.ANDREW R : Theoretically, yes, though the color balance will likely be off. This camera's firmware is designed to take provide the appropriate color rendering when shooting underwater.

Must have entry snorkel/dive camera!!!

Used this in Keywest JAN 2013(Dry Tortugas and Key Largo Grecian Reef... right where the underwater Christ statue is). Many closeups of Barracudas, Choncs, etc. Camera captured great colors underwater, the filter used to tame the excessive underater blue hues was great and camera adjusted the reds and yellows perfectly, so what you saw is what the camera registered (reds, purples, yellows,, orange etc.) Note: I will purchase the stand alone light that can be attached. The reason is that when your in 15-25 ft of clear water the lighting is good, dive lower try to the flash you will pickup back clutter ( sediment floating in water. The stand alone light will mitigate that. only con I have is shutter lag time. Great camera and good price. RECOMMEND A++

Very utilitarian

The materials were quality made and the instructions were simple to understand and implement. The only difficulty came in inserting the mounting rods into the raft mount holes. The rods were a very tight fit and required a lot of effort to insert and/or remove the rods. Other than that, I am very happy with the product and would highly recommend it to others.
