Good Product

Good device! Got it for an Alaska Cruise and it was useful. Has one weakness that I see - because it is so light there is no counterbalance to camera if you leave it connected to top. So if you get my drift, it wants to "upend" almost no matter where you hold the staff when walking with the camera connceted. Another observation is the rubber nub on the bottom will not last long and a metal replacement cap would have been good fore-thought by someone. For both these reasons I ended up carrying the pod collasped (rather than as a walking stick) and only using it when needed.

Snappy

I mean ... it's a monopod. Pretty straightforward. I'm not a big fan of them myself, but I needed one for Fashion Week and I love Slik. Yay.

If economy and portability is import, the ultra thin and lightweight SLIK SLIM POD could be the monopod for you. It comes complete with a built in head and its rigid aluminum construction weighs just 10 ounces. 4 section speed release leg locks make setting up easy, fast, and secure. This full-length monopod extends to 59.5 inches tall.

SLIK monopods give you an easy, go-anywhere support system for camera. Though they cannot stand by themselves, they support the camera's weight and eliminate undesirable vertical movement or "shake" that occurs when your camera is hand-held. Your pictures will be sharper and more clear.
