Great tripod this came as part of the Canon 1DX Mark ii . I was skeptical having never heard of this product. But was taken back works like a champ

Works Great

I love this tripod! It's standing in as my go-to 'pod for light duty. I have a studier, carbon-fiber one for more demanding needs, but this Slik Pro II is so much lighter and smaller, yet still able to be extended to eye-level, that it has become my favorite tri-pod ever. It's much easier to set-up and take down than the tripods with twist leg-locks. I like the quick-release on this ball head better than the one on my other tripod, but the ball head is pretty diminutive--it is not meant for holding much in the way of camera/lens weight (4.5lbs per specs).

Super light wieght

I got this as part of a kit with the EOS 6D Mark II that Adorama offered, and while I like Slik, and it's a well-built tripod, it's really just too small and feeble for use with a DSLR.  I don't know why Adorama is including this tripod with the 6D, since the ball head can't hold up the weight of even the body by itself, let alone with the battery grip attached (and getting the battery grip is what got the tripod thrown into the mix).  It would probably work great with a bridge or point-and-shoot camera, but it's just not fit to be used with a full-blown DSLR.  For the price should you want to buy it separately from a kit, you can find much better options.

It's Fine for Smaller Cameras, but Not for DSLRs

This is a reasonably good piece of gear. It is not incredibly sturdy or stable, but it is designed to be light weight and small for packing. This is a good item for the price understanding its limitations.

Sturdy, inexpensive (got mine on sale), ultra-configurable... I'm using it for a Lightroom and it's great.

Wonderful value, solid tripod

I use it with a small and light camera like a Canon M100, or even my phone. I may even use it with legs retracted on a table, but it's   so light and the quick release platform so small that I don't feel confident putting my DSLR on it. It feels like it could be knocked over quite easily with very little force.

Slik Pro II Tripod is ok but...

This tripod is light weight & versatile, great for hiking & traveling on my bike.

Great light weight tripod

Only useful to hold a flash or a very light camera. Not a sturdy tripod.

Poor quality - very feeble

Very satisfied with this purchase. I am Getting older and find carrying a standard weight tripod into the field a bit difficult at times. This one will work very well for that purpose, and is a lot easier to carry.

Good for price.

I am a beginner when it comes to modern DSLR photography.  As an older woman, I needed something that was light weight and easy to set up quickly and simple to figure out.  I simply don't have the strength anymore to deal with a heavier tripod.  This product fits the bill to a "T".  I find it to be quick to adjust, and I like the clip-style leg catches and the fact that the legs are adjustable at different angles.  I am looking forward to getting some great shots using this tripod in the Northern Rocky Mountains.

Great for Older Person to Take Out into the Country

I photograph and document wounds and other abnormalities for a medical clinic.  this just the tripod I need.

This product looked good, looked sturdy eyt light but after several uses one of the lower tripod legs slipped out as the plastic internal washer had broken. I battled on continuing to use not fully extended ( not pulling out lower leg) but even so the other lower legs started to slip out as not longer retained as broken washer affected leg locking mechanism.

Nice design but just fell apart

I use this unit exclusively with my Panasonic GH3.  Even with the 100-300mm (200-600mm) lens,  I have no problems with stability.  However, I do not use the "center post" on this tripod, or any other tripod that I own.  In fact I even removed the center post  in order to get the lowest possible angles.

Perfect for micro four thirds kit

This tripod is light and folds small, making it easy to carry around in a backpack. I bought it for use with a micro four thirds camera and it certainly feels sturdy enough to support this. My one complaint about this tripod is that the one I received was missing one of the two handles needed to properly control and lock the pan head.

Love this Tripod

I was surprised about the relatively small size - and not too heavy - and its performance once unfolded. Good stability, easy to work with, clever mechanism. But then: I replaced it with a real oldtimer, almost antique. Even though I don't know a lot about what else is out there I like the solid functions and trustworthy handling of it - and would get it again on the spot!

The Silk Sprint Pro II is light, extremely flexible, and folds to a compact size thus making it an excellent choice to attach to a sling or traditional camera backpack.  I especially like it's ability to reverse the mount and/or fold the legs out to shoot with the camera only a few inches from the floor or ground.  It's only downside is a rather weak ball head which supports my Nikon D90 when the camera and lens are horizontal but slips badly when the camera is pointed down at a small angle.

A very good light weight travel tripod

I bought this for an upcoming trip to China, to go along with a new T2i. The light weight and compact size were the main selling points. So far I've just used around the house and a recent camping trip. I worked well for all that I wanted it to do

Nice tripod for a light camera

This is an excellent tripod for the money at only [$] with the head. The tripod is very light weight (<2 lbs), but sturdy at the same time. Very high build quality. The lower leg sections are pretty thin, so if you extend them all the way, you lose some rigidity, which may be a pain for shooting in wind, but I haven't had it affect my shooting yet. The legs are independently adjustable and fold out to 88 degrees, and the riser unscrews so this tripod can get almost flat on the ground. It's an excellent tripod for macro photography, being able to get to almost any height and position. I have easily photographed ants on the ground with a 105mm macro.The ball head is small, but barely large enough for a DSLR. I use this with my D90 and a 70-300mm Nikkor. It works, but its almost at it's limit here. The weak point is really the size of the mounting plate.Overall, this is a fantastic, lightweight tripod. Not perfect, but you won't beat it for less than $100. You won't be disappointed!

Great backpacking tripod

A nice, lightweight easy to use tripod that is great for travel and home use. Having previously bought a Slik tabletop tripod, I knew the quality would be good. One thing i would change is is that the locking mechanism on the plate is plastic not metal. Could be a weak spot. Other than that, great tripod for the budget photographer.

Great for the photographer on a budget

I have a heavy, stable tripod for my big lenses and wildlife photography. I needed a tripod that is light and small enough to pack in a suitcase to use with smaller lenses on trips and in low light or for HDR. This fits the bill for my, relatively small, pentax K7 dslr. The ballhead is a little small and I replaced it with a Manfrotto 484RC2.

I love this lil tripod, I call it little because it folds down so small. The adjustable angle of the legs is one of my favorite parts. Just makes it great for getting into odd posisions, and macro photography.  I have to give it a 9+ just because the lower leg sections are a lil delicate.

Great product

I use this tripod for hiking. It is a trade off between light and real stability. I use it with an Olympus E-30. When you put the 50-200 lens on it is marginal but functional. The quick locking legs are a plus and have given no problems through about 10,000 photos. I keep the camera on the tripod all the time so I am always moving the legs. I use a 2 second delay on almost all my shots so it gives it time to stabilize. High winds can be a problem. It is trade off. If you want to pack more weight for the additional stability, then get a heavier tripod.

Has been great

This is a great tripod to take on hikes, traveling, events or just use around the house.  It is very stable, easy to setup and put away.  I love the adjustable heights as I take pictures of animals and plants and it makes it so easy to get down to their level.  It is light so carrying it is not a problem and it comes with a case.  Glad I got this one!

Great Tripod!

This is compact enough to fit into a day pack and is quite light. When fully extended, it is still reasonably solid, especially given its light weight. It is perfect for hikes and other activities where you must carry your equipment for long distances.
