I absolutely love these ear buds. I also have some Sennheiser ear buds that I thought were great...until I compared them with the SoundMagic E10Cs. Now I've put my Senns aside and will only listen to my tunes through the E10Cs. Thanks SoundMagic for some great buds!

First a little background color on me so you understand my ratings. Audio reviews are SO subjective, so I'l try to use comparisons and numbers instead of variations of good/bad. I am not an audiophile. I have a half-dozen $100-$300 headphones because I can appreciate the sound quality at that level. Any higher and I start to feel the price. I don't have much experience with good quality ear buds. On to the headphones. These are exceptionally light - the cable is very thin, covered in a tough vinyl. The buds themselves are larger than they look in photos, but not ungainly in my ears. I plan to try different sized ear buds - there seem to be 4 choices but the default size seals out most of conversation nearby. For their form factor, they have a large sound profile ( I can hear many instruments distinctly) but it does not compare to a good pair of over-ears, about half the sound-stage of my Sennheiser HD518. I would say that they are pretty comparable to the sound I get from my Beats Solo - which is impressive given the huge difference in the size of the drivers. The extras are nice - as stated 5 different sized ear plugs, a handy solid sided carrying case, an adapter so they will work with both iPhone and Android (CTIA vs OMTP TRRS standard jacks) and a split dual mono adapter for plugs like you find on older airplane seats. In summary, I like my E10C earbuds. They are better than Apple earbuds - maybe an extra 25-50% better sound quality. I'd say that they are uncommonly but not exceptionally good quality. I plan to buy another set as I don't have high expectations on durability (of earbuds in general and these in particular).

The SoundMAGIC E10C is the successor to the popular E10S line. The new E10C retains the previous generation's sound signature, powerful bass balanced with superb musical detail. It is constructed with two-tone metal ear piece bodies and low profile metal hardware, with a modern design and finish for a premium appearance. The tangle-free cable and included wire clip ensures that the E10C are easy to wear and use. The E10C also provides an inline microphone and remote control with universal smartphone support. Volume control is now available on the E10C's inline remote for added convenience.
The E10 not only looks more expensive than it costs, it also sounds that way. Reviewers are impressed by its dynamic and powerful sound, a perfect match with the energetic nature of today's popular music. Especially notable is its enhanced bass output, which extends deep with enhanced punch and impact. Even with a "fun sound", the E10 does not disappoint in terms of clarity and sound stage, rendering the music in a realistic manner.
