paul j : What kind of wire do I need to connect this to my ExpressCard/34 Slot? ( I dont see how which part of this fits into my Mac!)JOHN M : If you already have an ExpressCard/34 slot built into your computer, you likely don't need this device. This is for computers that have a Thunderbolt port but don't have ExpressCard slots, to be able to read Sony SxS cards and the like at Thunderbolt speeds.JEFF S : Hi, You may have this backwards. This doesn't connect to an ExpressCard3/4 slot, it adds an ExpressCard3/4 slot to a Mac. It connects to the Mac by Thunderbolt.HD H : It's not to connect to an expresscard slot. Works fine with my MacBook Pro

I have a 2-bay Startech eSATA RAID enclosure connected to my MB Pro via this adapter; it stays connected all the time and works flawlessly with Time Machine to hold backups. Very fast, which helps with backing up a lot of hefty virtual machines. No errors, no problems in Snow Leopard with the latest drivers from Sonnet website. There was an issue with 1-drive HDD enclosure from Startech; sometimes the system became unresponsive until I powered off the enclosure. Not sure if that was enclosure or adapter problem, but 4 stars just because of that - this is not cutting edge technology and it should work flawlessly by now.
