Sonnet Fusion R800RAID 24TB SATA Storage System with Controller, 690 MB/s Speed

The Sonnet 24TB Fusion R800RAID SATA Storage System is designed to offer an efficient storage solution for applications involving editing of HD/SD videos in multiple edit stations. 24TB of storage is achieved by inserting eight 3TB Enterprise/RAID edition hard drives in 8 swappable drive modules.

You can choose from multiple RAID levels (0, 1, 4, 5, 6 and 10) based on your speed and reliability requirements. RAID 5 configuration supports 677 Mbps read and 690 Mbps write speeds. Configured with 256MB ECC-protected RAM, the Sonnet PCI Express RAID controller can maintain data stream writes as the disk array nears capacity.

The R800 Fusion storage system supports hot spare drives that replace failed drives without any manual intervention. You can configure the system to receive visual, audible alerts, including email notifications. LED indicators indicate the drive activity, drive presence and power status. Quiet fans make the system suitable for noise-sensitive environments. The storage system is compatible with Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems. When used with Windows XP Pro 32-bit, the storage system supports creation of volumes up to 16TB.
