This is my third pair of this model. I have purchased many headphones once over the years but these are the only ones I have purchased again an again and will probably buy them again in the future when these get broken beyond repair or stolen. They take a beating and have traveled many miles with me over the years. Even a new pair feels like a well broken in pair of old comfy shoes. They just feel right

This is the 2nd set of these I've had (the other pair evolved legs). Good, solid cans. They're accurate, lightweight, and comfy as hell!! I've used and seen them used for years by many professional touring audio engineers. And...no you can't borrow them; go get your own, you won't regret it.

These are my primary studio monitors for editing. All around they're a great value. They do tend to be a bit bright so keep that in mind when editing. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with them.

These are no doubt an industry standard. The only flaw is the pads on the cans tend to not hold up forever.

Sony MDR-7506 ‘phones are the world class pro audio standard for two good reasons: razor sharp un-hyped and accurate reproduction of source material, making it easy to zero in on potential audio trouble spots as well as being a great mix reference, plus, they’re almost bombproof for reliability in studio or in the field. Folks who criticize the 7506 for “low bass” or “harsh midrange" don’t get what these cans were created for - they’re not easy listening consumer grade overpriced beats-like ear muffs, so don’t expect boosted lows or scooped mids and fizzy highs, only the sound of tonal reality. This is the third pair I’ve bought over the years, a holiday gift for a son just getting started in recording. The first pair of ‘80s MDR-V6 (same phones, different name) were replaced with a set of 7506 in the mid ‘90s, which are still going strong after almost 25 years of sometimes brutal usage, with only an occasional change of ear pads. Highly recommended - 10 stars, 3 thumbs up!

timeless classics, these have been around for decades, for good reason! they have great sound and clarity and are comfortable on the ears. I wear these all day and forget they are there. the coiled cable is nice and stays coiled and out of the way.

Not flat, but reveals problems in a mix. Bleed is a bit much for recording things like vocals where the artist is standing close to the mic. Ear pads deteriorate and eventually start shedding the pleather cover which gets on clothes, sticks to skin.
