While celebrating a decade since the launch of the original MovieRecorder, we proudly introduce the advanced and innovative MovieRecorder 4 Multichannel Edit-While-Ingest Mac Software. This sophisticated software is designed to revolutionize your ingest solutions, offering an even higher degree of flexibility than its predecessors.
The new, sleek user interface of MovieRecorder 4 is not only user-friendly but also highly customizable, providing a clear and efficient workspace. The software supports NDI sources, external audio, and effects and overlays, making it a versatile tool for a variety of professional workflows and configurations.
MovieRecorder 4 features a fully configurable user interface, allowing you to customize the size and layout of your viewers to best suit your needs. The software comes with a range of preconfigured layouts, but also offers the option to create your own. All overlays can be turned off for a distraction-free video preview.
The software's support for NDI sources, announced at NAB 2017, has been a game-changer. NDI is an open, low-latency, video-over-IP protocol developed by NewTek, enabling the transmission of HD and 4K video over a simple Ethernet cable. This eliminates the need for additional routers or SDI cables, further enhancing the ease-of-use and reliability of our products.
In addition to NDI support, MovieRecorder 4 also allows the use of external audio sources, including MADI, instead of SDI embedded audio. This feature is particularly beneficial for those looking to record audio from an audio mixer without the need for expensive SDI embedders.
MovieRecorder 4 also introduces the ability to crop, deinterlace, rotate, and resize your video before encoding. You can overlay text, the current timecode, or even an image onto your recording. With the "per destination" setting, you can record one signal with overlays and another as a clean recording.
The software also supports the highly efficient HEVC/H265 codec, which compresses files to 40% of the size of an H.264 compression without losing quality. Thanks to the HEVC hardware acceleration available on some computers, MovieRecorder 4 can fully leverage the codec's capabilities.
Finally, the software's "save and restore" feature allows you to save multiple configurations and restore them in seconds, making your workflow smoother and more efficient. This feature is particularly useful for studios running different shows with varying requirements.
In conclusion, the MovieRecorder 4 Multichannel Edit-While-Ingest Mac Software is a high-quality, professional tool designed to streamline your video and audio editing and recording processes. Its innovative features and advanced technology make it a must-have for professionals in the film and music industry.
