Sony AIR-SA20PK S-AIRPLAY Music System with S-AIR iPod Dock & Two Wireless Receiver Speakers

I had been looking for a wireless music system for a while. I nearly bought one of those wireless portable speaker systems for use in the garden but so glad I didn't. I purchased the Sony Airplay system right after it came out and have been using it for a week. The out of box experience was really great. Nice looking units that are very solid and a breeze to set up. I had my ipod (in the family room) playing all around my house in a matter of minutes. I live in a big single storey house and thought I might have problems with transmission through so many walls. But no - even in my garage on the far side of the house where my Gym is set up reception was fine. Music quality is great and where I want more power like in our front room I will be connecting the wireless speakers into an amp with bigger speakers. The remotes are great small units and because they are the same you can carry one around the house changing volume and tracks on every wireless speaker you pass. I'm now going to buy more units for other parts of the house (it comes with two speakers units - but I'll probably buy 3 or 4 more). For just $129 for each room added its very reasonble. I would like to see Sony add a larger more powerful wireless speaker as an option for pool or larger room use and maybe one thats battery powered too. But heck this base system is a great start. I use the unit with an iPhone. Like some other audio units it asks you to go into airplane mode when using the Sony unit but that is fine. The iphone is even smart enought to turn airplane mode off when you remove it from the Sony base station.
