Put it on my action cam FDR-3000x for the first time, lay the action cam on top of a shoe box. My kids bump the shoe box and fail on the floor and chips on the center of the protector glass. Every time you take a picture or movice you can see the chips on the picture. Yes, it did protect the len, but

To the 2* review, it is the cap............use a camera bag...... this isn't a product flaw that you don't have camera storage. Gives great peace of mind knowing the camera lense is protected

How are you suppose to to keep is cheap piece of plastic from getting scratched? I have looked and Sony doesn't sell a cap for this product. I can't believe that one didn't come included

Though it took a bit wait on back-order, this piece is a good protective piece for Sony FDR-X3000. I no longer need to worry about scratching the front lens in handling, filming and storing. Adorama takes good care on the shipped item; it arrives in perfect condition.

I bought the cap to protect the lens primarily on mountain biking. Don't have any problem with glare or color change. Very recommended!

As a lens protection device it is great. Only the slightest bit of glare from the distance of the lens. Why isn't it as close as possible? My real gripe? NO LENS CAP!
