It's time to introduce the AVN-DIO09, a top-tier Microphone Input to Dante Converter from the renowned Sonifex DIO range. This state-of-the-art device boasts A/D circuitry that delivers an exceptional Equivalent Input Noise (E.I.N.) of 129dB, setting a new standard in the audio industry.
The AVN-DIO09 is equipped with a single high-quality mic preamp featuring a balanced XLR input, ensuring optimal sound quality. It also provides both coarse and fine gain controls, allowing for precise audio adjustments. The device also includes a high pass filter, which effectively acts on frequencies below 125Hz at a rolloff of 6dB/octave, ensuring clear and crisp audio output.
This Dante converter is designed with user convenience in mind, featuring a tri-color level LED and a Neutrik EtherCon connector for seamless connection to a Dante Audio over IP (AoIP) network. The AVN-DIO09, like all Sonifex DIO interfaces, offers a straightforward, plug-and-play method for integrating legacy analogue and digital audio equipment into the Dante AoIP audio network.
The AVN-DIO09 is powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet), eliminating the need for separate power sources. Its configuration is managed via the Dante Controller, making it easy to set up and use. The device is housed in a rugged aluminium box, designed with side slots for secure screw-mounting.
The AVN-DIO09 also features a phantom power option, which can be enabled or disabled via a front panel toggle switch. When enabled, a 48V DC supply powers the microphone, with a red LED indicating its activation. This feature, combined with the device's superior audio circuitry, ensures optimal audio performance.
The AVN-DIO09 also offers rugged Neutrik EtherCon connectors and Neutrik lockable audio connectors, ensuring ultra-reliable connectivity. The device's coarse and fine mic gain can be adjusted using a toggle switch and a trimmer adjustment tool or small flat blade screwdriver, respectively. This allows for an additional gain of between 0dB and 36dB.
Please note: If using a phantom powered microphone, it may be necessary to ground the unit using the rear panel earth tag to eliminate mains hum, depending on the nature of your PoE supply. The AVN-DIO09 is a testament to Sonifex's commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly audio equipment.
