Shopper : Is this truly wireless speakers ?ALISA S : Yes and know, there are wires going to the front main and base. The rear (side) speakers have wires going to a common receiver, so behind my couch I have a box plugged into an electrical outlet and two wires running out of it to the speakers. So, wireless in that you do not have a wire running from the front of the room to the back.JOHN G : The speakers are wireless in the sense that they are separate from the main unit. There is an auxiliary box that receives a wireless signal from the main unit. The auxiliary unit plugs into a power outlet, and cables run from it to the rear speakers. The wireless speakers work well, but this Sony home theatre system has been a major disappointment. I bought it as a gift, and I feel bad. The Internet is filled with poor reviews that outline the product's weaknesses and lack of reliability. I recommend you find something else that fits your needs.
Michael B : We have Direct TV. Can I get Picture-in-a-Picture with this DVD player?ANDREW R : Unfortunately this unit does not support P-i-P on its own. It is possible that it is supported by your TV or DirectTV receiver, however you would need to confirm that by checking the owner's manual(s) for you current devices.
