The Beam is hooked up to my family room TV along with 4 ERA 100s. Great surround sound and center channel sound. I also use the Beam to play my favorite music, sound is unbelievable.

I use this for Tv shows, movies, and background music throughout the day. I'm impressed with the sound quality and clarity and more impressed by the sound tuning in the app. It sounds best in the spot you tune it for.

I got this soundbar for my birthday, I've been an avid fan for years started off with the move, sl one speakers and arch. Setting up the beam was easier then I remembered, right now it's a stand alone soundbar and honestly it still sounds like I have speakers all around me. My family always comments on how amazing it sounds whether we're watching a movie or listening to music the sound quality is unmatched. Highly recommend!!

Upgraded my Flat Screen from old optical sound technology, and had to also update my Soundbar capabilities to be able to control the sound. Consequently I selected BEAM Technology to complete the project and all is well up to this point

Apparently it has speech enhancement, but I haven't found it on the app, which still isn't as easy to use as it should be.

I bought a refurbished Gen 1 beam. It's absolutely amazing both for music and shows/ movies. The update did take a very long time time with my poor internet. I cannot recommend it enough. Yes the arc is better but my house is small and the arc might have been too much for my small place. I don't have a sub and don't feel I need one with the Bm

Love the sound, user friendly app, and ease of setting everything up. I have Sonos almost throughout my home, on the porch, and a Roam. I love being able to walk around with continuous sound for get together..or just me! The sound is incredible!

For the money, you simply can't beat the Sonos Beam. The sound is full, clear and balanced. No need for a subwoofer at all. Music sounds great. Dialog in tv and movies sound great. It is simply the best sounding small sound bar I've ever heard. And I'm super-picky about sound quality! Great job, Sonos! The Beam is simply awesome.

I am a long time Sonos owner who just added a Beam and 2 SLs to a new configuration. The products continue to improve in sound quality, aesthetics, ease of use and value. I don't think you can get anything else quite like Sonos that performs the way it does at this price point.

This was an opportunistic purchase. I have four Sonos devices spread throughout the house, and started to run into problems with a slightly older sound bar for a TV in the house. This was an opportunity to upgrade the sound bar to one of the Sonos sound bars available. The problem was, which one? Those four Sonos devices are all Gen 1 devices, and I'm not going to upgrade them all to get compatibility, so I needed to find a device that was compatible with the Gen 1 environment. You'll notice that the current Arc, Beam (gen 2) and Ray all require Gen 2, so when I saw this Beam (gen 1) show up in the refurb section of the store, I bought it. The Beam (Gen 1) is compatible with both Gen 1 and Gen 2. Setting the Beam up was really easy. As a refurbed device, I was concerned about the condition it would arrive in, but I now know that Sonos does an incredible job of preparing a refurbed item for resale. My Beam could have been confused for a brand new product. Plugged it in, attached the included HDMI cable to the TV and launched the Sonos app on my iPad. It found the new Beam right away, and started the tuning process. No hiccups. It just worked. I've been using it for a little over a week now, and couldn't be happier. Part of the appeal was eARC, and having the TV's remote control the speaker without any setup is amazing. For years, I've had a sound bar that had it's own IR remote that I included on my universal remote...which didn't always work. HDMI eARC is amazing. It could be running at ARC only...don't care. The automation is awesome. Side note to Sonos: The Gen 1 and Gen 2 incompatibility problem you created is really poor for your customers. I've seen suggestions that "gen 1 hardware can't run gen 2 firmware" as an explanation, which is silly. You could have chosen to make Gen 2 firmware compatible with both revisions, but I'd guess schedules/costs said no, and customers now suffer. It's really a poor decision.

Took me a little while to figure this thing out with the other speakers. I was expecting a traditional bluetooth setup with no hastle. Turned out I had to load the app to get everything to work together which took some time but once it was done WOW! I also noticed a huge difference from my ranch house where I set it up vs my other house. The other house has vaulted ceilings and it made the sound way better.

I purchased to replace an LG soundbar. Sound quality is great and now able to hear voices and details better. Going to add some additional surround speakers to help fill the room. Considering adding subwoofer as well. For now I am using my pair of rooms as additional speakers watching TV and it does sound good. Look forward to some surround.
