Bought the shadow edition from Sams club. I miss having an eq for it. The app has a high and low. It would be nice if the app had a 7 band eq in it. Depending in the audio / video we're watching, the sound becomes muddy, so an eq would be a nice way to adjust the mix. Would I buy it again? Yes, but only the shadow version. It would be nice if it came with the wall mount instead of having to buy it separately.

After17 years I finally replaced my my Sony TV. it still worked well, but the picture quality didn't compare to today's technology. I originally planned to connect the new TV to my existing stereo, but rewiring everything seemed impossible. My son recommended the Sonos Beam Gen 2, as he was very happy with his Gen 1. I initially thought I might need to add a subwoofer, but the sound quality of my new Beam makes a subwoofer superfluous for my needs.

This is my 2nd Sonos product, the first being a One SL that came with my new construction house. I was cautious after reading some of the reviews but since I was so pleased with how the One sounded I thought I would give it a shot. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, it is perfect for the master bedroom and I imagine that it would do an excellent job in a larger room depending on the size of course. Take a chance and I think that you will be satisfied, especially for the cost and if your not satisfied Sonos has a 90 day return policy.

I bought Beam Gen 2 for the Atmos feel looks like it's not up to the mark and might need 2 additional speakers and maybe a Sub too. So it's all very expensive if you looking for a quality system.

We've been living with the stock TV speakers for over a year since they are decent but our family room is the most room of the house. I finally started testing out speaker bars which I've avoided in the past due to output limitations but Sonos made me a convert. Their demo won by a landslide given the performance for the price. Everything was impressive. The low end notes are fuller than any other speaker bar I tried in that price range. I had the store employee replay the movie/music/game demo without the Gen 3 subwoofer and it still sounded amazing. We started with the just bar but we're going to add the subwoofer for Christmas since my autistic son sings and dances for hours in front of it. Best money I've spent for him but I wish I had done it sooner.

This is a great product, particularly if you already own other Sonos products. Not only is the sound quality phenomenal, the functionality is there to match. You can link all of your speakers together, if desired, and play music or other audio in any and all associated areas. I went with the 1st generation Beam because I have done older Sonos products that run on Sonos S1 still. This speaker is also compatible with the S2 system as well.

After doing hours of research on sound bars to upgrade our TV sound, I decided to pull the trigger on purchasing the Beam. I couldn't be more pleased with the sound quality and power this low-profile sound bar provides. The Sonos App allows you to seamlessly adjust volume (night mode has been a life saver for when we want to watch movies at night in our small apartment), EQ levels, and more. The speech enhancing setting is another useful function that actually works! If we ever move to our own house, I plan on purchasing the Sonos Arc and subwoofer!

After purchasing the Arc for ny entertainment system and for which i had already reviewed, i was totally blown away by its wonders. This had led mw to buy the Beam generation 2 for my bedroom. I couldn't be any wrong. The reviews for Arc also applies for Beam 2. Sound quality is perfect. There is no distortion. I am having the best of both worlds.

Sonos has been my go-to source for audio for some time now. In the past, I have purchased several "high-end" audio products. Sonos makes it easy to obtain great sounding products while, at the same time, saves the user the trouble of setting up complicated components.

Excellent sound bar and wall mount. Provides excellent sound clarity, effortless set-up, and attractive design that disappears in the room. 12'-14' viewing/listening distance. Bar produces enough quantity of sound to feel the intended affect of sound, without drowning out subtle dialogue for movies. One of the few products I haven't had seconds thoughts, maybe I should have bought "x" ?

I bought a new 65" tv at Costco and they recommended the Beam to go with it. I never heard the brand before and just thought it was a speaker for tv's in general. So it connected easily to the tv and "Wow", the sound was perfect. It made movies and shows all new. And music, just like being at a high end club. What a very pleasant surprise. Having a wand to operate besides my phone would be nice, but working it on my phone is easy with the app. Thanks Sonos.

I have the Sonos Beam Gen2 setup in two rooms. First room is a stand alone and the second is setup with the Home Theater Surround sound and subwoofer package. I am very impressed with the Dolby Atmos and overall quality of the sound.

I love the sound of the sound bar, but when I try to talk with Alexa for a question or FaceTime I get a response from Sonos. It is not clear how I stop Sonos from hearing conversation meant just for Alexa. Help! (Please).

I have bose 700 soundbar too. Sonos beam gen 2 sound way much better than that. However i haven't experienced any dolby atmos sound effects. May be ill have to add sonos OneSL to experience that. How ever the sound is great and definitely sonos wins it

I replaced a THX 6.1 surround system with a Beam 2. The sound is comparable and it is significantly easier to use. The setup and installation of the Beam was very easy and the instructions very clear and well written. The Sonos people clearly worked very hard to identify and eliminate any possible problems. I absolutely love this product.

This is the best soundbar in its size and price category. This is a great product to improve the tinny sound that many TVs have, especially for movies and sports. Although ideal for smaller rooms, it does get loud and the sound does not get distorted. The quality of the sound is open and detailed, making it a great way to listen to streaming music over WIFI, as well as any online content such as YouTube. Things I Would Change/Improve: 1. It needs to have a way of turning it off. You do not need the big sound on all the time, you should be able to turn the device on and off. 2. App volume is a slider. It would be great to if it had an alternative where you could see numbers for the volume instead. 3. It offers to delay to sync the sound to the TV. However, I don't know if it would be possible to accelerate the sound a little bit, like 1 or 2 increments, without ruining the sound. 4. Although the sound is great for a soundbar of its size, I would like for the bass to be a little less boomy and more tight.

We previously had an Energy soundbar and subwoofer which we have had for around 8 years. It sounded great, but wasn't fantastic at night when the kids are sleeping and we're trying to watch a movie or shows as the bass would overwhelm any dialog. We had also invested in the Sonos ecosystem for other rooms with a Move, some Play Ones, and a Play Five. When the new Beam was announced I decided to give it a go as I liked the idea of clearing up the floor space used by the subwoofer and having the integration with the other Sonos speakers. What I wasn't expecting was the ease of setup with ARC, which our previous soundbar didn't support, which has simplified our remote control usage. Unfortunately our TV doesn't support eArc, so I don't know how good the Atmos sounds, but otherwise this tiny soundbar sounds almost equivalent to our previous Energy. Perfect for our needs, and the added control to allow night time listening or enhancing dialog is exactly what we needed. Tip for anyone else who may come across this issue - we have Telus as our TV provider, and the Telus PVR does not play nicely with ARC, it would cause the Beam to disconnect from the TV when switching to the PVR input on the TV. I found that there is an adapter you can buy online to work around this, or if you have a small screwdriver you can modify the HDMI cable from the PVR carefully and it works fine (google "hdmi arc pin 13 fix" should help).

New to Sonos and impressed! Packed with several features, great sound! Watched Dune at home and the audio was amazing! Heard the characters conversations clearly, even whispers, the sound was immersive, loud, and sounded like a movie theatre! I like that Sonos products are upgradable, so you can future proof for a while.

I listened to the beam in the store and it sounded great. Got it home, connected to my TV but the same clarity that I heard in the store just isn't there. Not sure if I will be keeping it . . . Also, TV volume control is slow/lagging now.
