I bought this great product at the local Wal-Mart not too long ago and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It's the mini boom box that is; slim, lightweight, stylish and packs a punch! Whether you're listening to the digital radio with the built-in antenna receiver, the compact disc player or the old school cassette player you can't go wrong with the GREAT sounds this punchy player can produce. It's your call, you can't go wrong with any format you choose.... It's a matter of personal audio taste! Sony Products have been in my family since The 1970's since my bought our first Sony Stereo System with the tower speakers and a turntable. I fell in love with music and Sony at a very early age. All of my audio components are made by Sony, Sony handicam and Sony Flat-screens.... We're a Sony Family for Life!

The sound is truly not good, I expected more from so well reputable company as SONY. The cassette player is awful - and the cassette player in conjuction with CD player was the main reason I bought it. One side of the tape I can hear the other hardly. It applies to both newest tapes and oldest. I am overall quite disappointed. I do not know who wrote previous reviews? I do not have hearing problems and I am not satisfied. Maybe just my device is faulty? I honestly do not know. I have better sound from my phone, and it shouldn't be like that - that for sure.

Purchased at a local record shop new unopened in box. Upon opening on Christmas the cd player does not work. Turns out there is a recall and Sony does not cover it anymore. Disappointing for a $89 cd player

Having no facility for playing CDs on my new Sony Smart TV, we needed a CD player and what better way than to buy a reliable Sony product. Works a treat.

Bought this for my dad who is suffering from Alzheimers so he could listen to his treasured CDs. It worked for just under 1 month. Took back to Walmart and they would not take a return over two weeks. Said to contact Sony. I would like a refund of the $135.16 I paid for this shoddy product..

I've been using this boombox for a month or so. I bought it to replace my 20 year-old Sony boombox. The new one is great, too. I expect it to last a good long time. Nice sound; easily portable, and with the Sony reliability I've come to expect. Can't go wrong with Sony.

Shame on Sony for putting their name on this product!! The sound is awful. Very tinny sounding and the "MEGA BASS" is a joke. For seventy four dollars it is a waste of money. At least it has CD/Cassrtte?MP3/ AM/FM radio, so it's versatile.

So far this is a wonderful little Boombox. I look forward to writing some old Cassette tapes onto a disc. My last one lasted 13 years, hopefully this will also! Unfortunately the instructions leave a lot of information out- shows a picture with numbers, but no corresponding list of what they stand for.

I bought this a month ago and I am very happy with the purchase. The price point was good. The ability to play both CDs and cassettes was a major factor in my purchase decision and I have not had any issues with any of the Sony products I have owned in the past

In the past, not in this country, the similar electronics I bought lasted only 12-18 months. I have had this just a few weeks, and it impressed me as feeling more solid, and operating more smoothly. Time will tell!

This should never have had the Sony name attached to it. The sound quality is unacceptable and noisy. I cannot play tapes due to the noise from the tape mechanism. Th volume and bass controls are useless. Sony used to be the Rolls Royce of audio. Now it seems that Sony attaches its name to any piece of garbage that they think they can make a profit off.

I bought this item recently from an online retailer. I?m really impressed with it. Smart design that?s easy on the eye, simple controls make it easy to use and most importantly it sounds really good for a small device. I can now listen to my old cassette tapes that I haven?t heard for years and the Megabass feature really enhances the sound quality. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone that?s looking for a reasonable priced boombox.

Great product. Easy to use and great value for money. The cassette player is a great bonus. Quite difficult to fine one of these nowadays. Sound is excellent for the size of the unit but if you would prefer a bigger sound, you can easily connect it to an external amplifier via the headphone socket. Also, this unit is very portable and perfect size. Can be used with batteries or mains. I am very impressed so far but then, Sony have never left me down before.

This boom box replaced an earlier CFD-S70, but had a different problem - tape portion seems to be running slowly (sounds like low batteries, even though it was plugged into 110-VAC outlet). Can this one be exchanged for another (hopefully, it will sound normal)?
