We have (5) units serving two outdoor patios, a great room, entertainment room, and our dock. We love the ability to select music sources and output to the various spaces with our phones. The sound is fabulous and the units aren't difficult to set-up.

Had 6 ZPs powering built-in room speakers and a set of DQ-12. Can't wait to purchase new AMPs for New house build.

Very easy to install. Disappointed that I can't use my Prime Music account to play on Sonos in Canada

I have the Sonos Connect Amp and the physical product is great. The Sonos iOS app is terrible. I'm used to using the Apple Music app and like the scrolling features it has. I also like that I can control Apple Music from the lock screen. After I added my Apple TV to my wifi network at home, I can no longer control Sonos app from the lock screen. So, if a song comes on that has a waaay louder sound than the previous song, I have to scramble to unlock my phone and sometimes even navigate to the Sonos app just to turn it down. The hardware volume buttons on my phone won't work on the lockscreen either. Not sure why Apple Air Play has this effect of making the Sonos lock screen controls disappear, but the need to sort that sh%t out fast. Every time someone comes to my house they remark on how cool my vintage Mission speakers are and how great the sound is...and I follow that by saying "thanks, yes they are, but Sonos' app is terrible so consider getting something else."

I should've done more research before purchasing this Sonos Connect:Amp. I thought I could just connect to it from my iPhone or iPad through Airplay and stream anything from the internet or Spotify (without having to pay for premium), or Youtube... I also thought that it was going to play the music from my iPhone library properly, but it does not; when the phone locks the screen after a couple of minutes, Sonos starts playing just half of each song and skipping to the next... how disappointing... DON'T BUY SONOS CONNECT

I bought four Connect:Amps to resurrect Bose in-wall speakers I installed during construction ten years ago. Each could not have been easier to install, and the controller app is more than intuitive to use. Now I have four separate zones of music, each with its own volume and music control. And the app easily floats from my primary house to a secondary vacation home which has a couple of Sonos bookshelf speakers. My music library has never been so easily accessible and thoroughly enjoyed.

The amp itself is fine, but the ios version of the app stinks for some small but important reasons: It loses the network connection when the phone goes to sleep, so turning the volume down (if you hide the amp and can't reach the controls) involves logging in, waiting for it to reconnect, then launching the app No lock screen controls in ios so changing tracks involves logging in, waiting for it to reconnect, then launching the app The search function in the app is ratty These first two things make it a terrible user experience and I sold mine almost as soon as I got them.

This replaced an expensive Bose system. We kept the speakers in every room but now we can have different music in every room and control it from our iPhones. So far we are mostly using Pandora, music on my iPhone and Sirius XM. Not necessarily in that order

Would like to have more Alexa control with the amp. Like changing preprogrammed stations. Hoping SONOS will keep updating Alexa control in future app updates.

I actually have two SONOS Amps. This one and the new one. This one powers two Diffinitive Technology speakers with a REL sub in my living room and they sound amazing! The New SONOs Amp is powering my Audiophile FOCAL's with a Velodyne sub in my Bonus Room. Fills the large room with Audiophile quality sound. SONOS has converted me from Marantz Amplifiers to Sonos products throughout my home. Some SONOS speakers and some SONOS products like the Connect and two Amps to power my previously owned speakers.

No problems with the connect amp at all. The sonos software is a bit more frustrating. It's not an easy integration with Tidal, my main music source - for example, I very often select an artist and then start 'artist radio' within Tidal. To do this now, I have to go to the Tidal app, do the search, go to the artist radio, then create a playlist, then back to sonos to play that tidal play-list. It seems like it would be a lot better if you could just send the output from Tidal to sonos so that all of the music curation is done within your favorite streaming source and sonos just attends to what sonos does well.

I set up the Connect:Amp in my backyard shed, connected to wired outdoor speakers (non Sonos). This allows me to stream and listen to music in the backyard without having to worry about spotty bluetooth connections. Works exactly as I hoped. Will be upgrading the speakers soon.

I bought one to start as we had three rooms with in the house with built in ceiling speakers but I was not sure if I would like the system and they are not cheap. Well I now have 3 of them as it was easy to intall and the app wether it was on my lap top or my phone the family and I can pick music turn up the sound anywhere in the house or back years. The only thing that I wish was posable was that you could add more wired speakers but be able to control each room. Yes I know Sono's is in sales and they want to sell more. lol So I have now bought 3 Contect Amps so that I am able to play diffrent muisc in drifreent rooms threw the ceiling speakers. I have now bought some Sono's speakers and they where very easy to add to the sytem and they sound fantstic and they contected to the Contect amp system seemingly.

Like the product but it was not conveyed to me at time of purchase that I could not play my iTunes library over my Sonos amps. Would have considered other products had I did more research before purchase.

It's great all around. Only thing I wish it had was some sort of expanded, centralized library that you could add music from all of your services to, to make it easier to look in one place when you come back

I bought this because I wanted to connect my turntable to some speakers I already had. I connected it seamlessly and that works great. I was an Apple Music user, but you can only control Apple Music from the Sonos app, which is fine, but not ideal. So I decided to switch to Spotify and it's much easier! However I still find it difficult to stream podcasts. I use an app called Overcast and since this doesn't have AirPlay enabled, I'm unable to stream podcasts from that app. I could change my podcast library to the built in iOS podcast app and stream from within the Sonos app, but again, that feels like a clunky way to go about doing something as simple as listening to a podcast. Hopefully I find a solution sooner rather than later. I love everything else about the Sonos Connect:Amp though and can't wait to expand my Sonos throughout my home!

Everything I said about the basic Sonos Connect applies here regarding the wonderful Connecting capabilities. The Connect Amp expands your discrete music listening and connectivity. Some room decor benefits for example from unobtrusive equipment or ceiling speakers. In my case my wife says, especially in the bedroom, "music and music equipment should be heard and not seen!" "Alexa, Play Unforgettable by Nat King Cole"

Love the Connect Amp!
By cra173
My two cents on the Sonos Connect Amp. It allowed me to set up my outdoor speakers the way I wanted and still have the ability to control the music using wifi from my phone while outdoors. The added bonus is that it powers my outdoor Klipsch rock speakers perfectly. Small disclaimer...I am not an audiophile or tech savvy at all. I simply judge the sound based on what I hear, and it sounds great. For those interested, here is how I used the Connect Amp. I had heard great things about Sonos and...
