I may be wrong but this camera does not have a remote that you can buy for it, other than that I love it. My husband suprised me with it one day cause I wanted a smaller one that does not take tapes. I have not found anything that I do not like about this little camera.

I bought this camera 3 years ago and still have it to this day. I shoot High Quality short films and special events with it (Also purchased separately, a Telephoto lens and Wide) The camera over all is small sleek and very handy. It has steady shot, so all videos are sleek and smooth. Its capacity is great as well, with only having to clear out my videos twice since i bough it. Stunning night vision capabilities and touch screen. The Dolby sound is quite stunning as well, very nice crisp audio when importing and watching on TV. As far as versatility goes, the camera is not that customizable with shutter options and other professional end areas. The touch screen takes away the easy access to some features that do better as a analogue button. The focus options are difficult to use on manual, and the steady hand sometimes chases invisible objects. And being a HDD (Hard Drive) loud noise such as airplanes and race-cars will cause buffer overflows, not a good thing when using them in very loud events. Great for shooting parties and if you are in Film, it is a nice camera to begin with, for it does not take a pro to maneuver.

I bought my dcr-sr45 for my Alaskan cruise. It rained alot and it didn't bother the camera, wished I had bought the uv protector lense which I just bought. I bought a tripod and glad I did. You can zoom forever and keep the camera still. Got some great whale and eagle shots this way. A tri pod is a must for so much zooming. I also recommend buying a 2nd battery

Super BAD Battery. I have hardly used this camera 5~6 times. It's battery is gone. When i charge it, the charge LED glows. Once i remove the charger camera doesn't even power ON.

I bought this recorder used and it was set up in Spanish. My wife knows some Spanish and it is giving me some exposure to that language. I would really prefer to change it to English. The online manual mentions that the proper menu shows up the first time one uses the device. If you want to change it later, it doesn't seem to be there. Does anyone know how to find that illusive menu? My previous recorder is similar except that it used a DVD. The language menu is easily found though.

I have all my files in the camera and I can not download them to the Computer. I have been looking for the driver but nothing work. So I am almost to buy a Sansum Camera, compatible. Please if you know how to solve it send an email.

when I purchased this I got the best for the money I had in a pinch. I love it easy to use and doesn't take space. One problem-----on a sunny day at the shore, forget it you have no clue what your filming. I didn't think ahead. You can't see the picture with all the sun. an eye peep would have helped that. But for the money it's a good buy. I use mine for everything. It takes ok pictures too. I am happy with mine for the type of things that I record.

I bought this camera because it had a hard disk drive, a optional memory stick duo slot and because it came with its own program. I was loving the screen as well because your menu was on the screen, but, soon my screen went out and now i have to pay over $120 to fix it. I'm just going to get a new camera from another company, this time with no touch screen.

I bought the camera to document my travel and grand daughters Gymnastic competition. By far the best value and performance of any camera I've owned or borrowed.

I own this for the past 8 months. Video quality is good. It would have been nice if there is an option for connecting the video light.
