Sony DSR-1500A DV Cam Half-Rack Studio Editing Player / Recorder, No Input, Requires DSBK 15036 Digital Board or DSBK 1504 Analog Board

The DSR-1500 incorporates the same innovative, high standard technology featured in the DSR-2000 into a compact, half-rack width design. The space-saving size makes the DSR-1500 ideal for such installations as in OB vehicles and with desktop editing systems. A key feature of the DSR-1500 is its playback compatibility of consumer DV (SP mode only) and DVCPRO 25 in addition to DVCAM, and its ability to automatically accommodate all cassette sizes without the need for an adapter or changing menu settings.

The DSR-1500 is equipped with a wide range of standard analog outputs, and functions not only as a feeder for an analog editing system but also as a simple playback viewer. By configuring the unit from a full range of optional interface boards, the DSR-1500 can be equipped to meet a broad range of user requirements.

There are a number of optional input and interface boards available for the DSR-1500. The DSBK-1501 SDI/SDTI/AES/EBU digital video and audio interface option board ensures a migration path to Digital Beta cam, Beta cam SX and other digital video systems. The DSBK-1503 i.LINK IEEE-1394 option board enables a quality deterioration-free transfer between the DSR-1500 and DV compression based systems. The simple connection of the i.LINK interface also offers an ideal solution for interconnecting the DSR-1500 with DV I/O equipped nonlinear editing systems. The DSBK-1504 analog input interface board which includes component, composite and audio connections provide the bridge to existing analog based systems and equipment, and also allows the analog information to be transferred E to E via the standard i.LINK DV I/O connection. The DSR-1500 is truly the most versatile digital VTR for its size, features and cost performance.
