The Sony DoStudio AVC Encoder (2D Blu-Ray En) is a cost-effective, easy to use Blu-ray Disc encoding solution optimized for the output of your Vegas Pro, Final Cut Pro, Premiere or Avid workflow. The DoStudio Encoder ingests you QuickTime or AVI source and outputs high-quality constant and variable bit rate streams that are 100% compliant with the Blu-ray Disc specification. DoStudio Encoder is optimized exclusively for Blu-ray Disc encoding with support for Primary and Secondary (Picture-in-Picture) video streams. It even supports standard-definition encoding for high-quality, low-bitrate SD bonus features.
Fast Encoding
The highly efficient DoStudio AVC Encoder engine spreads tasks across all processor cores to maximize encoding speed. On 8-core PCs, the DoStudio Encoder is benchmarked at nearly 3x real-time. You can even install the DoStudio AVC Encoder on a separate PC from your primary DoStudio Authoring workstation to setup a stand-alone encoding workstation.
Input Options That Match Your Workflow
The DoStudio AVC Encoder can accept a wide variety of video inputs, including QuickTime files in the following codecs: ProRes, ProRes 422, DNxHD, AJA and Blackmagic 10-bit and 8-bit uncompressed and more. You can import Quicktime files from Final Cut Pro directly into DoStudio AVC Encoder.
Playlist and chapter setup made easy
Need to add chapter markers to your media? Just play back your Quicktime files in DoStudio AVC Encoder and mark chapter points with the click of a button. Each click inserts an I-frame at the chapter point to ensure frame accuracy. DoStudio AVC Encoder generates your playlist with chapter markers and imports it into your DoStudio Authoring project. Playlist setup is done for you, making your production process that much more efficient.
Drag-and-Drop Templates
The DoStudio Encoder employs easy-to-use templates for Primary and Secondary (PiP) audio/ video setup. Quickly choose your encoding parameters with built-in templates, or create and save your own. The DoStudio AVC Encoder takes the guesswork out of encoding for Blu-ray Disc because it will not allow you to select settings incompatible with the Blu-ray Disc spec. You can encode with ease and confidence.
Automated Email and Text Notifications
DoStudio AVC Encoder instantly notifies you by email or text when an error occurs that halts the encoding process.
