Great product. I can finally play happy wheels at 1 fps max while toasting my bread. I refinanced my kids for this. No regrets for such an amazing product.

The DVS-9000 has been designed to compliment the MVS-8000 to provide a complete family of live production switchers. This "one family" approach offers content producers unseen levels of performance, flexibility and integration. Compared with conventional SD production switchers the DVS-9000 series offers greater system flexibility, a range of enhanced features and a more compact design.
It is seamless integration with the MVS-8000 series allows you to configure a mixed definition set-up and provides a smooth migration path from SD to HD or multiformat operations.
Large scale productions
With four full function keyers, as standard, in each M/E you should never run out of keying possibilities. This combined with the maximum of 80 I/P's makes this system able to cope with the most demanding of applications. What's more when integrated with the 4 channel internal DME you still have all 80 I/P's available for cameras, VTR's etc.
Migration path to multiformat operation
Due to it's modularity the system can be expanded as needs arise. Additional M/E's and control panels can be added and with the addition of an MVS-8000 processor you can expand into HD and multiformat operations as required. This migration path thus protects your initial investment for many years to come.
Resource Sharing
The control network can be expanded with up to four control panels and two processors, for a single studio system. With dynamically assignable M/E's a central processor can thus be controlled by to four control panels. This solution is ideal for small studio or edit suite complexes. Additionally the two processors can be configured for redundancy or multi-format operation. This can provide a significant cost saving over the traditional approach of having a dedicated and often underused, resource in each studio or edit suite.
Multi Programme Delivery for the Anycast World
Each M/E is capable of working in multi-program mode where up to four configurable O/P's are available per M/E. This coupled with automatic key substitution and switchable 4:3 / 16:9 operation per M/E bank gives you the capacity to provide many different programme streams from a single switcher system.
Customizable control panel layout
The DVS-9000 series utilizes the same "highly acclaimed" control panel as the MVS-8000. These panels are available in a variety of sizes and operators have the ability to change the layout to best suit their needs. Once installed the layout can be simply modified, or additional facilities added as needs arise.
Compact Control Panel
In addition to the layout-free control panel two compact control panels are available. These two panels (1 or 2 M/E) offer the same operational features as the large panel in a much smaller and rack mountable, size. These 12 crosspoint button panels are ideal for small production systems or, if combined with the large panel, providing remote M/E operation.
Maximizing system usage
With the availability of the system manager software (BZPS-8000) the DVS-9000 system flexibility is increased one stage further. This software package allows for remote control of all switcher functions, an interface for remote maintenance and an off-line setup facility. You do not therefore need to tie up valuable studio time setting up the switcher prior to the next programme.
Flexible system size
DVS-9000 systems are available with 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3 3.5 or 4 M/E's in two processor frame sizes. The larger DVS-9000 (8U) frame will cope with up to 4 M/E's, 80 I/P's and 56 O/P's. A system can therefore be purchased with minimal components today and expanded as needs arise.
4 Keyers per M/E
Each M/E comes, as standard with 4 full function keyers each with it's own auto-transition capability. Luminance, Linear, Clean, Pattern, Chroma and Color Vector keying modes are supported as standard by each keyer. Drop shadows, borders and fine-key re-sizing functions are also provided as standard.
Half M/E option
One option (BZS-9250) for the DVS-9000 adds on a simple M/E bank. This available to increase any systems processing power by adding the facility of a simple Program/Preset (PP) bank. This M/E bank includes a full functioned background transition and the ability to insert two additional keyers.
4 Channel Internal DME
The DVS-9000 processor is capable of being fitted with the BKDS-9470 DME unit. Each channel of this 4 channel unit is a full function DME including 2D linear and 3D non-linear effects with a key channel, lighting and an external background I/P. Using the built in effects of this unit and thanks to it's highest quality picture processing algorithms, you will never need to rely on an external DME unit again.
Frame Memory
The DVS-9000 system comes as standard with a 444 frame capacity 8 O/P still store. Stills can be grabbed from any primary source or imported from the LAN or memory module. Controlling the memories from a switcher timeline will allow for short animation sequences to be replayed i.e. having two channels (video and key) rolling at any time allows video and key wipe effects to be instantly replay-able from the control panel. A thumbnail preview of each frame memory is also displayed on the touchscreen menu helping the operator select the correct still for on-air use.
Color Correction
The DVS-9000 also incorporates an optional two channel color corrector (BZS-9420). This option allows for both primary RGB and secondary YUV color correction to be added to any switcher bus.
Macro's
To further aide an operator the control panel allows complex key sequences to be stored, subsequently edited and then recalled from any button. Simple (or complex) key sequences can now be programmed to happen upon any button push (for example switching key and background at the same time, automatically flying in a replay on selecting the source button) the possibilities are only limited by the operators' creativeness.
Machine Interface
Up to twelve VTR or DDR's can be controlled by a single control panel. These can be integrated onto a switcher timeline and multiple cue up points can be set.
Networkability
The control panels and switcher processors are connected via two independent Ethernet networks. These together with the additional system manager application allow the switcher to expand onto an external LAN. This can be used for remote set-up and monitoring, facility management and import/export to the internal stills store.
