It's time to elevate your audio experience with the DWT-P30 Digital Wireless Plug-On Transmitter, a high-performance device designed for live sound applications such as theater performances, concerts, studio-based TV production, and ENG/EFP. This cutting-edge transmitter is a proud member of Sony's third-generation DWX series, a line that seamlessly blends advanced digital technologies, analog microphone expertise, and wireless audio transmission technologies.
The DWT-P30 is renowned for its stability, thanks to its sophisticated audio processing, encryption, and RF transmission technologies. These features ensure secure, stable digital transmission and reception of high-quality audio with minimal latency. The transmitter operates within a wide bandwidth of up to 148 MHz (region-dependent), and its high-density 375 kHz interval channel plan facilitates simultaneous multi-channel operation, making it easier to find unoccupied frequencies in congested metropolitan areas.
This digital wireless plug-on transmitter is compatible with Sony Wireless Studio control software for PC (Ver 5.22 or later), offering flexible remote operation. With the Cross Remote function and the RMU-01 remote control unit (sold separately), you can control up to 82 transmitters.
The DWT-P30 delivers superb audio quality, transmitting and receiving 24-bit digital audio within a specific frequency bandwidth that complies with each country's Wireless Communication Regulations. Sony's original codec design, based on years of audio engineering expertise, ensures a wide dynamic range of over 106 dB, a broad frequency response of 20 Hz to 22 kHz, and excellent transient response.
The DWT-P30 offers four codec modes to cater to a wide range of applications. These modes prioritize short latency times, high audio quality, noise suppression, and transmission stability. The system achieves an impressively low audio latency time of 1.2 msec, with a 96kHz sampling rate for superior sound quality (codec MODE2, with DWT-R03D).
The DWT-P30 also features a low noise head amplifier for a -128dBu noise floor, flexible audio input control with 48dB at 3dB steps audio attenuation, and line/microphone input support. The transmitter's audio attenuation can be remotely controlled from the digital wireless receiver.
For secure transmission and reception, the DWT-P30 uses an improved digital modulator for highly stable wireless transmission and AES 256-bit encryption for data transmission and reception, minimizing the risk of interception. The RF output power level is selectable (2 mW/10 mW/25 mW) to prioritize stable multi-channel or long-distance operation.
User settings can be easily stored and loaded on the DWT-P30, and it can be powered via a USB DC power source for long-term operation or as an emergency power supply. The device features an easy-to-read dot-matrix OLED display for clear, real-time operational information. The DWT-P30 is compatible with various AA-type batteries, including alkaline, lithium, or NiMH, with alkaline batteries allowing up to 6 hours of operation.
In summary, the DWT-P30 Digital Wireless Plug-On Transmitter is a versatile, high-quality device that offers secure, stable, and high-quality audio transmission and reception for a wide range of applications.
