I've had this for many years, and I keep tucking it away and finding it again. I love it overall, but the one problem I have is the clip. I've replaced it once and broke it again, so I finally just removed it. They need to make a solid clip without the cutouts, because that's why it breaks all the time.

I had a few SOG multitools back when I was in the military, and I remember their gear being high quality. I recently got into commercial hvac, and was in the market for both a decent pocket knife and also a pair of wire cutters. I picked the kilowatt up at my local grainger and after 3 months of heavy use, I am highly satisfied. I keep my designated wire strippers in my van and haven't used it in awhile because of my kilowatt. It does a great job stripping wires and it can handle a multitude of gauges.

My son bought me this for Christmas 23 the knife and strippers seem great, the belt clip is flimsy thin and kinda sharp edges. It has numerous holes in the belt clip as a design, but it makes it weak and flimsy. I was wearing it on my belt it got caught on my seatbelt, and bent the belt clip open like 30 degrees, I bent it back. I wear it inside my belt now clip on the outside, it has a couple sharp edges that get caught on every thread on every shirt and has ripped one shirt.

Online description stated knife was engravable. This was false. Several searches & phone calls to customer service were made over two weeks time and finally was told knife can't be engraved with no explanation.

I like the knife. I find the stylized clip cumbersome and hard to slide into a pocked (first day of use it was bent out and I don't even know how it happened).

I bought mine about 8 years ago and it's been a great knife, purchased it after using a colleges and it would strip some cable we were using. The best feature is the outside jacket cutter for cutting the insulation off multi conductor cable. I've seen too many times someone use a razor knife and cut into one of the strains. This little blade on the back does the trick without worry. Some really heavy duty cables are too large for it but it's great. Bad thing is mine is almost worn out and it's seen some use. Holds a good edge as well. Clip snagged something one time when and broke off and I've had to replace one screw but the hell I've put it through this is expectable. Purchased 3 more this year to give as Christmas presents I really enjoy mine.

When I first saw this knife I thought it might be kinda cheesy. I was wrong. I've used it multiple times that I would have needed to walk back to my pickup to get the right tools but already had it in my pocket. Wish they would say if it was made in the USA or not ?

Honestly thought this was worthless when I received this as a gift. I'm an industrial mechanic and I'm shocked how handy this thing is. Knife is kinda let me down though. I sharpen it once a week.

The quality of this knife is far below the other SOG knife I bought. This is cheap foreign made. My other SOG knife is American made and far superior to this one.

This is the third time I've bought one of these knives in the last 12 years or so. They fit my daily needs perfectly and if I happen to walk too close to a door and the strike plate rips off the pocket clip, SOG replaces it for free. I loved my old one, now I love the love I just got.

Very nice quality, extremely sharp blades. Great for getting you out of a pinch. If wiring is your primary focus you would do better with actual wire strippers. Otherwise it is very useful to carry on your person.

I have a couple of these running around my house because they make rewiring anything much easier. the knife stays sharp really well, the cable strippers work great as do the wire strippers. I've used it when working on my car cause then I don't need to carry wire strippers cutters or cable strippers. on top of that they're really cheap when it comes to a nice knife and when it comes to wire strippers. its a REALLY great multitool.

This is a great knife at a more than fair price. I am a commercial electrician and carry this knife with me daily. It is super sharp and the stripping features come in handy when you are in a pinch. The clip is a little flimsy and mine broke. SOG sent me out a new one with no hassle whatsoever. SOG is a great company and this is a great knife.

My brother gave this to me for my birthday, I have been using it for 1.5 years. I have been an electrician since 1982, have Masters and Contractor licensing in multiple states. The knife works well as a knife and you can use to strip cable and wires. It is a functional tool to have in your pocket when you do not have your tool bag and need to perform a few tasks stripping wire or cable.

I've carried this knife for 2 yrs now. I use it every day. The wire strippers work just fine as long as you hold your finger over the top and apply pressure while stripping. There's also a front and back to the stripper so pay attention to that. As far as the blade itself, it was sharp out of the box. After alot of use I sharpened the blade again by hand with stones and it took and held a edge beautifully. I have no issues cutting through a range of small to medium ga. Wire, CAT cables or coax. The pocket clip isn't the greatest but it serves it purpose. The edges of the clip are quite sharp and snag or scratch things occasionally so i took the clip off and rounded the squared edges at the bottom of the clip. Overall I love this knife and would recommend to anyone who deals with wire or cables on a daily basis. With occasional cleaning, oiling, and basic knife care it should last for a while.
