I bought this accessory together with a new Sony video camera, and regret that i bought it. It does not fit the way you would like to, it does not bend the way you want and it does not even work all the time. Regarding the fitting it's not in the middle of the camera and it kind of sticks out and it's not nicely balanced. Regarding bending it's not stepless but has certain points that it locks on, especially when you do not use the item you have to take it of the camera since it sticks out a lot and therefore it does not fit the original camera bag when it's on the camera. Regarding functionality, it seems to work when it wants to and sadly that not very often. The problem seems to be in the grip itself and not in the connection or the cable. Also it is working sometimes. It looks more kind of a heat and moist problem.

Pretty awesome little grip for a camera. I'm using it on a Sony AX700 and I works fantastic. My only critique is that it has a very slight wobble in the pivot gear lock.

Have it 4 because the handle is made for a small Asians hands and not hid as we Americans are . If it was a few inches longer I would have gave it 5 it of 5 .

Worked as advertised, good for stand-alone use. Unfortunately, the handle/legs are too short to be comfortable except for those with small hands, too short for me so I returned it.

I use this on my Alpha 6500. It's compact and it works. If you take both photos and videos, it's easier with this remote/shooting grip. The zoom is a little hard to control as smoothly as I'd like but I think I just need practice. The mini-tripod works as well so you always have a tripod with you. It is well designed so you can use the tripod even with a big lens like the 18-105 zoom.

This is really for smaller hands than mine, but the simple use of a 6" piece of PVC Pipe to put it in - gives me the size and control I need. Works great.

After using this over the weekend with my family, I love this little tripod for my Sony a6000, like the remote shutter button on this tripod and use as a camera hand grip, so won't touching the camera with alot of finger print. Feel like the price has been pay off, Sony quality is great. As usual, Adorama shipping is very fast, customer service is the best. Will buy again.

I was a little skeptical at first, so I purchased the Sony Grip and Mini Tripod with Basic Remote Control Functions, to determine if it's worth my time. I was surprised with the ease of use with my Sony RX-100 IV. I use the tripod more, but I capture a lot of content using the grip too. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small unit like this.

PROS Enjoy using this grip. Allows me to hold my HDR-CX760V up high, and tilt the camera down for over-the-head shots. With the camera having the larger battery, I can tilt the camera back and the two will sit in the tripod position. CONS In the grip position, camera & grip fully tracked back, there's very little room for your finger tip to get in and access the controls and need to use the side of your thumbs for depression (I have small > med hands) Record Button NEEDS A FLIP COVER or LOCK LEVER, for protection against accidental deactivation... Being its a hand grip accessory, your eyes are on the shoot, and when moving your fingers for the zoom, just the slightest hit on the Record button and... The next thing you know, your back to STANDBY. / This is also a problem for when using the T&W button with the sides of your thumb, you get to close to the Record button as well. Short Neck from the pivot point to the base mount. / The neck section (as I'll refer to) could stand to be a little taller, perhaps even two inches. This would allow better/more comfortable two handed control (ie panning, etc.). It would also solve the cramp-ness I mentioned above. WISHES Would like to see larger buttons/pads at each end of the T&W zoom lever, as the small riser in the middle leaves little room for comfortable finger control. A built-in multi-bubble level would be cool. Perhaps a larger control panel area where the buttons are, providing more essential feature controls within the camera. (ie. User Programmable buttons? ie. Button1 = Camera Lamp On/Off - Button2 = Fast Review of last video taken) and so on. [If the grip had these features, I would pay another 50-60 dollars)
