Great little camera. Fairly simple to use with the play memories program. The doors are a little flimsy when not in the waterproof case. The ability to link it into my Xperia camera is brilliant.

I only have this a few weeks but so far I have found the picture quality good the features easy to use, I'm currently useing a 64gb micro sd card, It may hold a larger card? The battery lasted 2hrs and 3min with the gps turned on. My only issue is the lack of mounts available or given with the product.

I bought this for a skiing trip and it has been a disaster. After setting it up there was no response from the record button. Resetting to factory settings cured the problem - haven't dared to set it up again. Live with the bleep. You need to download some Sony software to access your pictures. This is glitchy, awkward and will not work after every set of updates. Running the updates deleting the programme and reloading sometimes works - often not. Basic accessories are not included in the price, are expensive to buy and cheaply made. Altogether my advice is buy something (anything) else. Go to another manufacturer who are Pro.

Great little camera purchased on spur of the moment used for the first time at night during a light show in Singapore with good results even with photos. The only down is the waterproof case is not the easiest to undow. Would advise to purchase the watch or other viewing device

I wanted an action camera for my motorbike so I picked this because its more streamlined than some other cameras and the price was reasonable.excellent video even at night. Just a few problems, one there are no brackets with the camera to enable fitting to bike or car although universal fittings will do. (I made one myself for bike) another problem is the lens fogs up in cold weather and also the battery doesn't last long with GPS and wifi switched on. Very easy to set up, good clear pictures as I use it as a dash cam. Bought extra batteries which solved battery issue. Perfect for my use waterproof and doesn't look out of place on bike.sound is a bit muffled with case on but not an issue as a dash cam.

This camera is the best bang for buck on the market by a long shot. As a drone / off body camera it is fantastic. 60fps at 1080p is exactly what all videogrophers want / need. I will say however that as a white water kayaker, the record on and off can cause issues. it is hard to know when you are recording or not. this could be fixed by either a slider or a VERY loud buzzer option.

image quality I cannot fault and I do prefer the colours of video compared to my other 'leading brand' action cam.. where it falls short for me is. battery/card cover is poor, mem card slot is poor with its dual purpose micro sd/M2 slot.. menu system not very well impemented, too many button presses.. supplied waterproof case is a nightmare when not needing it to be waterproof. front mounted mics pick up absolutely everything(in a bad way).. all in all I expected more from Sony.

I first bought an ????? and it was the only one that I had at that time. I searched for a different model to give me comparison. ????? is a waterproof camera without the need for a case, has a 'g' sensor so that it automatically records in the correct orientation. Very simple switch to record and when mounted to my motor cycle helmet, gives haptic feedback so I am aware of to know that it is recording. Also the ????? is mountable direct to the mounting kit. I stretched my budget to meet the cost of the as30v. I am not a fan of the body of the camera or the user interface. I do not know if I am pushing the buttons too hard when it is in the water proof case. I do not like that it has to be in a case to be mounted on a camera mount though it does add a sacrificial form of shock protection. I do not use NFC or WiFi, I realised that I do not need it instead just removing the memory card and putting it in my smart phone to view plus the battery run time is best with them off. The silly little 'bling' noise from the sony is barely audible in a motorcycle helmet with the engine running. That being said, sony play memories software is ok and the camera images are excellent for picture and video and the battery life is on par with other brands on the market which is what it was designed for. This model has been superseded now with models offering splash-proof-ness though still not direct mounting to equipment which is a shame and still only a 'flip' by 180degrees for recording video and images which has to be set prior to recording

Brought this adventure cam to take with me whilst doing the "West Highland Way" over seven days, I brought a 32GB card and an extra battery so had enough power throughout the day when in the mountains and loved the water proof case (two days of torrential rain) and the sound quality was great, loads of features and compaired to other adventure cams you get way more features for the price.

Cant say I am happy. No video connection to the Sony TV directly. Cant do time lapse photography as software just produces thousands of pictures rather than time-lapse video....what's the point? Picture quality poor, mists up when in waterproof case in the sunshine. Battery life poor....overall not up to Sony standard

I bought this camera around 5 or 6 weeks ago to fit to our race bike to catch on board footage around the track. Overall happy with the camera and image quality, reasonably steady even at speeds in excess of 160mph using only the sticky mount and hard case. Only issues are that the GPS tracking isn't quite up to scratch as the map it draws is usually nothing like the track we are racing on; I.e lines are everywhere. And the speed has a massive delay on it so it shows us doing 140mph when we have already slowed down to around 70, delays is about 10 seconds. Also we have had to wedge a thin peice of plastic down the side of the battery from new as the camera was turning itself of after a couple of minutes due to the battery must be loose and breaking the contact with the terminals on the cacamera.

I bought this camera 2 weeks ago and i think its one of the best products I have ever bought. I took it with the Sony universal headstrap and I have to say that both work very good. Even if I have a small head, the strap is very good. Unfortunately you have to mount it on the side, so you have to get used to the weight at the beginning, but after the first time, you won't even notice it anymore. The possibility to check what your camera is recording on the phone is great and also share your photos and pictures is very very easy and immediate. I find the image quality very good and the sound very good as well. It's perfect for what I wanted to use it for, which is some snorkeling and trekking.
