Wifi is difficult to work and to show on our HDTV, must buy optional cables. The video is very grainy and the zoom takes a while to get the hang of. The pro it is compact, light and great sound. On a scale of one to five, it's a three.

Great little camcorder, used most of the time on a tripod, easy to operate, and very nice video and sound quality. I enjoy using this camcorder. Only wish it came with a remote controller or had the availability for one.

Its is a really good camera. Light and very easy to use. The picture quality is very good. What lets it down is the bundled software. I have yet to manage to get the wireless link to my PC to work and this is on 3 different machines. The camera is polling the PC but the Play Memories software on the PC is not listening and therefore there is no response.. I took wireshark ethernet traces and can see this non interaction quite clearly. The second aspect of the Play Memories software is that it will only let you manipulate vidieo files that were generated on a Sony camera and that camera has to be plugged into the USB to verify. So if you want to merge vidoe taken on your phone or any other source then forget it , you will have to buy something else. In my case I was trying files from my old Sony Camera that I have been using since 2009 and it wouldn't let me use these either. (Yes ithe camera was plugged into the PC) 5 stars for the camera 1 star for the software

This is an easy to use camcorder. It is light and can be carried in your pocket. I got great action shots on the fly. I am 73 y/o and not a camera geek but I was pleased with the pictures I got.

Great first time cam-corder. I'm amazed at all the features yet small enough to stuff in a jacket pocket and go hiking. Can hardly wait for summer.Only problem so far is I can't find a cust. ser. rep that can answer questions without being sent to a half dozen other sites.Eventually I'll get a straight answer. But still a very good camera.

I really like this camera and it does more than I expected it would do. My only problem is the instructions that come with it. I bought it looking to take some videos put them on a DVD to watch much as one would do with an ordinary purchased DVD. No matter what conversion I use the DVD I record either does not play or has technical problems biggest one being interlacing. I have spent countless hours and ruined DVDs trying to figure it out. I know the answer is out there but it is not in the manual.

Great compact camera which takes clear HD home movies. Highly recommend it. And now the price is even lower, than when I purchased it when first introduced. Only thing that could be better is a 4K Ultra HD camera - and I am waiting until those go sub $500.

i have a sony digital camera and purchased this sony video camera in order to take better videos. the software for both require different installs and the video camera software wants to uninstall the digital camera's software. would be a perfect 5 star if both utilized same software. would recommend this camera if this is only sotware package needed .

Being a technical persion, I wanted the best bang-for-my-buck. I was going to Carnival in Brazil and wanted HD video. After reviewing many models and features, I chose the Sony HD-330. Little did I know, it had not shipped to the public yet. Lucky it arrived shortly before my trip. With little time to test it out, I headed out. The camera performed flawlessly! The video quality is outstanding and I would highly recommend this little gem. I have some beautiful shots to remember my trip. However, there are always some things that are not so great, or irritating. The wi-fi functions are not really what I had hoped for and a bit clunky. Not a feature I would really use, but with no hands-on, did not know it was a waste. Having mic input and output would be a nice feature. And I found times when I wanted to close the display screen and still film, not possible. Minor really. But having mic input would be very nice, even if using the USB connector. But I do love the camera and will use it often.

Excellent camcorder, small and light weight. Awesome zoom and HD picture. battery life is incredible. Simple button controls for multiple functions. My first record was outside at night in low light and could not believe how good the picture was. Great value for all family members.

Great handy-cam which is light-weight, and can be carried easily while traveling. Good price for the value, as I needed a light-weight camera that took stills and video, with a memory card.

Upgraded from a Sony HDR-HC7 (which still worked fine after years of use). Have used the HDR-CX330 for about 6 months. This camera makes excellent quality imagery. 1920x1080x60p. Colors are perfect. It is very light weight, and the battery that comes with it (NV-FV50) lasts a couple hours of continuous use. I also purchased a NV-FV70 for a spare. The default power saver setting turns the camera off frequently; I prefer the "always on" power setting that lets you keep it running for just the right time to start recording. The image stability correction is super. Also the optical zoom lens has a huge range which allows you to get shots that were not possible before. The built-in USB cord makes it easy to transfer videos/pics. I do miss an external audio input jack capability, and built-in flash for stills, but really like this camera. The user manual is online, and is a "click" type interface that only provides one or two sentences at a time. It would be nice to be able to print or view the entire readable manual (with a regular old index).

Got this with my accumulated points and found it disappointing. The microphone picks up the zoom-in/out slider sounds and the velcro grip strap sounds. To make matters worse, strap is not removable. After several attempts, I now find it to be useful only as a tripod mounted camera at wide zoom.

In short words – HDR-CX330 is the worst camcorder possible. 1.Unsustainable background noise, so even you are shooting in a deep forest the playback sound would suggest that you were on a busy highway. 2.Light sensor is very sluggish, it takes about 4-5s for proper adjustment to the actual light conditions. 3.Micro SD memory card does into the slot and clicks both ways – correct and incorrect. 4.It is usually needed a few attempts to insert the micro SD (back and forth) before the camcorder starts to recognize it. 5.The camcorder shoots videos on standard definition mode ONLY (720, 30fr/s) no matter how many times you try to change settings to the full HD quality. 6.And, finally(!!!), my camcorder is not powered on anymore after just less than 1 month of usage

I was super impressed with this handy-cam. It has a ton of options for video capture and the anti-shake stuff makes me giddy each time I shoot video free-hand. The high quality video at 1080p is very impressive. Overall, I was, again, super impressed.
