light works fine. nice that it can be powered by AA batteries rather than draining my camera battery, lights up the subject matter very well for indoor external lighting situations, the 3 watt external light i had before just didn't cut it, and having to attach it to a light bar was a hassel. this light fits right into the top shoe on my drc 810 sony handycam. a little expensive, but i'm glad i bought it, this was the best price i found, shop here so you don't over pay. thanks.

I just wanted to chime in on this product. This is not a bad product at all. Yes it does get hot, its a lightbulb, you know if you keep a regular light bulb on it will get hot ya think? This isn't an LED so its not going to stay cool in temperature. Sony recommends to use Sony batteries (lithium) not just any dollar store branded battery so I'm not sure what that other user is talking about. Don't get discouraged, when you need a lighting source when your environment doesn't have the best lighting, this is the best product!

bought it online through third-party retailer; uses 4 double A batteries (AA) - lasts about 15 minutes then have to replace them; gets extremely hot; was attaching to camera and notch snapped on bottom of light - now doesn't stay attached
