its very hard to find a dock for the sony mp3 player, so there is a poor selection of docks meaning there is a selection of ONE and this is the ONE. If you need a dock, this is your only choice. Sony as far as i can tell is not making another model at this time. BTW, it works OK but is a bit hollow and boomy. I use for OTR and not music.

The Walkman clock radio docks available in the USA have gone to an all-time low if this is our only option. There is a single speaker that is mounted on the rear of the device pointing backwards. The sound quality from this speaker is comparable to my mobile phone (this is a bad thing). If you use this with a Walkman (like I do), you will be forced to use the Walkman for music selection. There is absolutely no way to do it from the remote. I have a touch screen A Series Walkman, and it is insecurely docked into this. I have to use two hands to use the Walkman while it is docked into this. Otherwise, I may touch the screen to have it fall out of the flimsy dock. Finally, waking up to your music is a nice idea, but the Walkman alarm will not function with Sensme. When my Walkman has a song paused during Sensme, the clock radio will activate the Walkman at the alarm time, but it remains paused. This issue only happens for Sensme. If I have a song paused and ready to go in a regular song view, the alarm does work. This is a really low quality device. Don't waste your money.

The Dream Machine is a great clock radio for those that want to fall asleep and wakeup to their own music. Docking your Walkman or Ericsson couldn't get easier, you'll be playing you're own music in seconds. Setting up the alarm is a breeze with many options of music, radio, or buzzer, and dual alarms. The only downsides are the display can be quite bright for a dark room, and the unit itself is quite light, so it can pushed around when pressing buttons. Overall these things are minor. The clock radio is great and has changed the way I wakeup in the morning.

I must say I could not be more pleased with the product. Instructions were clear and my Walkman fit perfectly. The adjustable brightness is a huge bonus and the remote that comes with it, while limited in features, provides convenience. The dual alarm settings provide excellent variety. Item arrived within 5 business days of order placement. My only complaint would be the shortness of the AC cord, I don't like running an extension cord. Other than that this was a fantastic buy.

easy to use after reading the manual. sound sounds great for a bed side device.Found the Ericsson phone jack useless.I enjoy waking up to my music.

Thank you Sony for making something useful for the Walkman MP3 players. Everything seem so be IPOD friendly and very few options for the Walkman even though it is vastly superior in picture and sound especially the earbuds. One thing other than the high contast on the display, it would have been better if the walkman base plug was on the right instead of the Ericsson phone jack. i mean really how many walkman phones have you seen out there? Maybe more in Europe but not here in the US. Just makes the clock look a little unsightly. Maybe future versions could have a choice of face backlighting. Would ahave increased rating if these minor things were changed. Overall good product for an alarm clock alternative

I am sorry I purchased this product as it keeps waking me at midnight with alarm. I have studied manual and do what it says but it keeps reverting back. Knobs are too easily touched accidently and things get changed.

This is a great product! I love falling asleep with the sleep timer function, and waking up to my Sony X-Series in the morning. It is a great product for those that need a docking station for their Sony Walkmans and have trouble getting up in the morning! This product has made me get up a lot easier in the morning and fall asleep much faster. However, if you're looking for a speaker dock, this may not be the best choice, as the speakers are muddy. However, the product does what it intends to do: function as an alarm clock, dock your walkman, etc. Thank you Sony for a great product!
