An advanced solution for diverse media routing needs, the Sony IXS-6700 Integrated Routing System with 8RU Chassis is a multi-format, hybrid routing system that seamlessly handles SD and HD video signals, audio, RS-422A, and time code within a single, compact chassis. This feature-rich system offers both space and cost efficiencies, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of facilities, even those with space constraints.
The IXS-6700 Series routers come equipped with a common Ethernet interface, facilitating the establishment of a sophisticated, yet user-friendly network-based control system. The inclusion of the reliable S-BUS interface ensures easy integration into existing routing systems, enhancing operational flexibility.
One of the standout features of this routing system is its unique compatibility with Sony's MVS-8000G and DVS-9000 switchers. This integration brings a host of benefits such as bidirectional operational control, source name exchange, and tally management, enhancing operational efficiency.
The Sony IXS-6700 Integrated Routing System supports a wide range of I/O modules and can handle multiple bit-rate video signals ranging from 143 Mb/s to 1.485 Gb/s. It features a re-clocking capability for multiple bit-rate signals, including DVB-ASI. The AES/EBU audio routing supports up to a 256 x 272 matrix, thanks to the use of TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) techniques.
As a primary station, this system eliminates the need for a separate external control unit and offers powerful operational features such as Tie-line, Virtual matrix, Input/output system protection, and Phantoms. The system allows for free assignment of inputs and outputs on up to 16 levels and offers both S-BUS and Ethernet control systems.
The Sony IXS-6700 Integrated Routing System is designed for high reliability, equipped with a main and backup CPU board as standard, and redundant power supply units. It features self-diagnostic functions that monitor communication quality, link status, backup CPU status, and detects cross point errors.
Maintenance is made easy with the ability to perform troubleshooting and software upgrades without interrupting system operations. The system keeps a variety of logs such as System Status log and Command log. Ethernet-based remote monitoring and maintenance can be achieved using the Sony MMStation Remote Monitoring and Maintenance Software, an SNMP-compliant application. This makes the Sony IXS-6700 Integrated Routing System a smart, cost-effective solution for your media routing needs.
