Had this TV for a couple of months and we are very pleased with the overall quality and functionality. I think it's definitely (so far) the best Television we have owned over 50 years

I have had this TV for just over a week, and I have to say that I am very pleased with it. The picture is excellent, and it has a lot of apps. For some reason, it comes with two remote controls. I would have given this set a 5 out of 5 rating had it not been for the fact that it took almost five days before the apps for the BBC iPlayer and ITVX showed up.

Bought a week ago. Had issues installing bbc iPlayer and other apps because they weren't available in Google App Store. Very disappointed with upscaling quality of standard SDR channels as text and image edges are 'fuzzy'. Not even as clear as my older LCD tv. This isn't widely explained, especially where I purchased it from which is disappointing. A LED tv issue apparently!

I was very disappointed with the picture quality and had to return it for a full refund. I think that this TV had been used before, as the packaging was in an crumpled condition. Maybe they had found the same problem. Other Sony items have always been perfect.

A helpfull user manual would of been appreciated as at 82 I struggled with setting up and connecting to my other appliances,and as Currys installation was not available for below 50 inch screen, which I found strange. Other than that I am very pleasd with the Television.

I've had this TV for a couple of weeks now and am really pleased with it. I can't comment on the Apps or sound as I only use the TV as a monitor for TV/movies via a Virgin 360 box and a Denon AVR. The picture however, is excellent. Good colour, contrast and definition, smooth movement and reasonably dark black rendering. Be aware that the default settings produce a very unnatural picture and it takes quite a while to adjust the settings manually to get them just right. Once achieved though, the results are very pleasing.

Swift delivery and arrived in good condition. TV works as promised looks and sounds as expected with plenty of setting to play with. Connectivity and setup with Google is easy enough if you have some basic knowledge if not a little tedious.

Bought on Black Friday deal. Bought 3 days before and then then the TV went down in price again which was disappointing. TV is great though. I have an A80J in the living room and it is not comparable to that but does a good job. Runs everything well including plex which my last TV this is replacing couldn't.

I am struggling with this. The home screen is very cluttered and busy. I don't want scrolling Google advertisements and many other counter intuitive aspects. However I am sure (hope) there are workrounds. That said it is definitely capable of very high quality pictures PROVIDING the source is high quality. ie certainly not regular terrestrial TV signals

My previous Sony Bravia needed a fire stick for smart features. The new one with as close to the previous model as possible, is smart. I do not like the Google platform. The Amazon platform was much better.

It isn't the tv I am rating but the service I have bought and not received. When I purchased the tv I also purchased fitting the tv on the wall and setup for £125. Since purchasing the tv and service over two weeks ago no one from the company who is supposed to be calling to arrange fitting and set up has contacted us. This has left us with a huge box with tv in left in the middle of the room, which isn't ideal when you have two children aged 4 and 1. It's also not good when it's close to Xmas. I have contacted Sony and they have said they have passed details on to the company but still no acknowledgement from the said company. I have contacted the fitting company and they have nothing from Sony. So I contacted Sony again and have had no reply. It's like we have been forgotten about the customer service from Sony is not good, they take your money for fitting and set up, supposedly pass your name to the fitting company then wash their hands of you. I could have bought a tv from curry's and had it fitted by now without this stress. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy fitting and set up from Sony I would advise to organise it yourself.

We bought this a couple of weeks ago, chiefly because our Freesat box had begun to give a warning that iPlayer would cease to work on it in January. Buying a new TV with Satellite built in seemed the obvious answer, and it would also give us access to ITVX, which our old TV couldn't deliver. As a device, our new TV is probably all that you would expect of a modern Sony TV - classy picture, good sound (we also bought a cheapish soundbar to help with my wife's failing hearing). I really dislike the home screen, which is basically just a lot of advertising for subscription-only channels that we don't have, but I can more or less live with that. Initial installation was pretty easy, which got us to viewing the OTA channels. But then the less satisfactory aspects began to show. It took ages to find out how to install iPlayer - which after all was the trigger for buying it in the first place. Finally, after hours of online searching I found I had to download and install yet another app. Well, okay, now it works fine, but why is this not pre-installed for the UK market? Then I integrated it with Alexa so we could use voice control. That worked for about a day, and now Alexa keeps saying it can't contact the TV. I'm sure I can sort that out, but it's just more hassle. And then we get to the programme guide... This is almost completely useless. One key on the remote takes you to the guide... which shows you a list of channels with absolutely no program information at all! To see what's on a channel, you have to click on it, let the current program load, and then go back to the guide. To see your viewing choices for the evening on OTA TV, you have to do this for EVERY channel in turn. An internet search says this is likely because of poor signal, but our old Freesat box never had any trouble. I'm still working on this, but why does it not just work out of the box? Most unsatisfactory. This leaves me with very mixed feelings about the purchase, and I'm wondering if I should have found another solution to the original problem.

I bought this TV in November to upgrade our main tv. Set up was relatively easy (although all Google based), but I was very disappointed to find that there were certain key apps that were not available to download, BBC iPlayer and ITV being the main 2. After researching it seems that this version stopped supporting these apps some time ago so it is in theory my fault for not checking in advance, however I do feel when buying in the UK this should have been stated somewhere (which it wasn't to my knowledge).
