The picture is definateley great on this TV I cannot argue with that. But within the first month of having the Tv the picture seemed to just disappear and at times come in and go out even within the last 2 months. I was hoping it was somethin I could fix but I guess not. After hearing how great Sony TV's are I am really disappointed. I also purchased the extended warranty which is giving me a replacement refurbished TV of the same or something close to it which I am not really happy about. I think if I was to ever purchase a TV again it would not be Sony. Number 1 becase of the problems I am having but also because now after 2 months I am receiving a refurbushed TV. I guess I should have just bought a refurbished TV in the first place and saved myself the money.

While the tv is nice, the navagation menu is extremely slow. Even the volume is effected. For example, when you adjust the volume, it does not react until 5 or 10 seconds later, and then when it does, it may jump dramtatically (and wake up your kids). Note: when I first got it, wasn't to bad, but after an update it became unworkable.

This is a great TV, but the design of the remote control is shockingly bad. You control the various applications with a d-pad with a button in the middle - which is a perfectly serviceable design. However, the d-pad is surrounded by buttons. One of these buttons is 'Home'. It exits whatever you are in and takes you to the main menu, The designer put it a few millimeters under the d-pad. So, if you are scrolling through a menu and accidently hit home (which is very easy to do) you are rewarded by being instantly dumped from the app and put back into the top level menu. Great TV if you can get it on sale. You'll need the savings to buy a replacement remote.

I got this TV during a special for $277 anc couldn't be more pleased. Will have to upgrade to HDMI direct tv box to get the best picture as the regular DTV box does not give the best picture through the standard cable. Netflix ix awsome on this TV and streems very well with no problems and a clear picture. I have 15 megabit internet and am not to far from my router.A smoking deal and a nice tv with a lot of features. won't go wrong with it. And this was a brand new tv not a refurbished one for 277.

This TV is a great value for $400. Purchased thru my employer at discount price. Also obtained the 22" version. Great for bedroom tvs. Outstanding with PS3 gaming and good video with movies. Good HD with HD Netflix streamed movies. Had TV Guide issues with 32" model. Sony sent me a new TV within 2 days when problem couldn't be resolved over phone with tech support. Working well now. A friend had problems with internet video with his and returned it. Could never get it fixed.

Day 2 of owning this TV and I love it! Even without an HD receiver in my bedroom the picture is great.Unlike other people, Netflix worked right away after allowing the TV time to update. Connected easily to my AT&T router. I would recommend this TV to anyone! Oh, and even though it doesn't have as many Apps as other TV's, it does have enough. Besides,it's a TV, not a computer. And a pretty good one at that!

Great TV, only problems I've had have to do with network connectivity. The wireless adapter got me online OK, but it wouldn't recognize the other PCs on my LAN. Switching to the wired LAN adapter I could stream from my DLNA server PC. But only after I MANUALLY entered IP settings. This TV has a broken DHCP client, because I use Windows ICS all the time with other Macs and PCs and they all get a dynamic IP address. Anyway use the wired Ethernet cable and a manual IP address and you'll be fine. Also, expect to wait at least 15-20 seconds to see TV Guide pop up. They need to add a "WAIT" timer icon so you can see TV Guide is loading and not accidentally cancel it.

The only downside to this TV I have found is a lack of information/support to set up Widgets. The SonyStyle.com site indicates this TV has widgets capability, but there is no reference to them in the use manual and the customer support on line and over the phone didn't have clear directions. I am still unsure if the TV even supports Widgets. That all being said- this TV has great network and Internet entertainment functionality. The wireless set up was painless and the TV can access videos and music on my Windows 7 PC's. I haven't been able to access my photos, but that may be due to the fact I have >50,000 pictures. I can also "Play To" from Windows 7 to run media (and my photos) on the Bravia. Picture and audio quality are excellant. I recommend this for anyone interested in using their TV for internet and their local networked media.

Bought this TV for outside. I have 2 large plasma TVs inside the house and was looking for something inexpensive but with a decent picture and sound for our covered deck. I looked at everything and had considered the Samsung and LG, but this model had them both beat by a long shot in every way. You wont find this TV in any of the big box stores, and I'm sure it's because it is a much better value than the other models (including Sony's). The Bravia 3 engine beefs up the picture quality so much that it's darn pretty close to my 1080p 55" Pioneer (which cost me $13,000 2 years ago). And after playing around with the internet features, I would have to say that if I had the features on my regular sets in doors, I would cancel my cable TV subscription.... this TV is great!!!

I waited 6 months before writing this review so that i am not biased by sudden impressions. Great pictures. Wireless is horrible in Youtube videos. Very annoying content error pops up in the middle of the video. I can see blue progress bar gradually moving, but suddenly stop with content error message. Seems like they don't like any buffering by the site may be!! On the other hand, I can watch all other videos nice, like crackle, even HD. So internet speed 10mbps is not an issue.

Purchased from Dell on sale--chose it because of the internet capability and Sony brand name. Very pleased so far: 1. Little info in the manual on wireless network setup. Inside of the box is a USB cord with a base on one end. The supplied USB key (which is actually the wireless connector) gets plugged into the base. If you use MAC filtering, the MAC address is on the side of the USB key. Was able to put it on my WPA-2 wireless network--just took forever to punch in the security code. 2. Lots and lots of inputs. I have a Directv Tivo, JVC Receiver, and JVC DVD player hooked up. I don't use subscribe to HD signal, but the picture is still much better than my old 32" JVC tube tv. 3. In order to use Netflix, you need to go to the Netflix icon on the TV, and it will give you a short code. It then tells you to go to the Netflix activation page and enter your code. Once that is done, sign in to your Netflix account and put a few movies into your Instant Que (if you don't, nothing will show up on the TV). About 30 seconds after doing that, I went to the Netflix icon, pressed enter and there was my instant que. I chose the new Star Trek movie, and after a minute or two it started playing. The quality was awesome. Once the movie started, not once did it stop playing. My internet connection is 7000/456. If you use your internet connection for cell phone use (I use a Verizon Network Extender since we get poor cell phone reception), I would not recommend trying to watch a movie while talking on the cell phone--too much bandwidth so just pause your movie until you make your call. 4. Youtube feature is nice, but I haven't figured out yet how to increase the size of the Youtube video that's playing (it may not be possible). 5. My TV is set up in my living room above a fireplace. The couch directly faces the TV, but the loveseats on the sides are at an angle. Viewing from an angle is still possible but it looks slightly "washed out" color wise. 6. There was an online update available for my TV. I went to the Sony site, downloaded the update, and unzipped it. According to the site, you are supposed to copy that unzipped folder to a USB drive, plug it into the TV, then turn the TV on and it will update. This is NOT correct. Once you have the update file unzipped, you have to OPEN the unzipped folder and inside you'll fine another folder--copy THAT folder to your USB drive and it will work. So far, I'm a happy camper. This is my first LCD tv (I waited until my tube tv died) and I'm so glad that I waited. Just the internet connectivity alone makes this tv a super buy. I've had great success with every Sony product I've ever owned, and it looks like this one will be no exception. Nice job Sony!

This tv has the best picture, good sound, tons of functions, including internet video. The only thing I would like to see improved on, is the remote control layout, for example, swap the tiny mute button with the Input button at the top next to the power button. All in all, I like this tv. It offers a lot of bang for the Buck !.

i bought this tv primarily for netflix streaming. i am very disappointed with the wireless capability, it is intermittent at best. netflix works great when using the wired ethernet port on the tv. i've updated the software on the tv to the latest and no, it has nothing to do with my wireless network. my 802.11n based macs have been running great on my wireless network for months, so I bought a $99 apple tv and hooked it up to this tv. i'm streaming netflix over wireless now and am happy.

I've had this TV for a good 6 months now - enough time to toy around and review it. ^^^[Design] - The TV looks pretty good: It has a simple minimalist design. It won't turn heads, but it's not bad to look at. ^^^[Performance] - The first thing you'll notice when actually using this TV is it's speed or response time. It's atrocious. Now this can be forgiven given the TV's price point and other neat inclusions that may bog down the performance, but this is certainly something one should consider before purchasing. ^^^[Picture Quality] - The TV looks fairly good when turned on... when using an HD signal. Sony's Bravia Engine 3 is supposed to do well with SD signal but its benefits are difficult to discern. Black levels are actually quite good for a TV at this price point. Compared to my Pioneer, it doesn't compete but that TV cost $3,000 more than this, but it's a good reference. ^^^[Sports viewing] - Not a very good TV to be watching sports on. Movements are always blurry even when calibrating it for 'sports viewing'. People may say well it's because the TV is only 60hz - this may be true but then again I've seen 60hz TVs handle Sports programming a lot better than this TV. ****For best picture - the TV needs to be calibrated (settings need to be changed quite a bit). ^^^[Internet apps] - The available apps are OK at best. A little more selection and great deal of customization would have been better. Pandora, Slacker, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, and Qriocity (among others) are all good inclusions but there are other apps most people will find useless. One cannot delete apps that won't be used and is stuck with a long list of them that can be annoying. A favorites menu can be customized to include only certain apps, channels, inputs, etc. but the favorites menu also takes a while to respond. ^^^[TV Guide] - Great for people with over-the-air programming or basic cable, otherwise useless for those with a dedicated box. It's not a very responsive app. It takes a while to load and scroll through (sort of like DIRECTV's guide but worse). ^^^ ^^^One thing I feel compelled to note is that this TV sometimes hangs or freezes when turning on. In this event one has to unplug the TV and in doing so the user will have to update TV Guide and the clock every time.

This really is a great TV! I haven't had this TV for long but so far I do love it!! The apps are amazing and very exciting! There are tons of features on this tv and at the price I have seen nothing that compares anywhere. If your going to purchase a 22" or 32" TV, go with this one! I have a 42" Samsung Plasma TV that I also love, but I would gladly trade it for this TV (if it came in 42"). Seriously, get it, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased this set for the bedroom. The picture is excellent and the sound is good. The slow reacting TV Guide is a little frustrating. I have a two year old XBR6 and the TV Guide on that one is fast so I don't understand the slow response on the EX308. Overall, I am absolutely satisfied and I would purchase it again. Sonystyle chat made purchasing this a joy - competitive price and quick shipping via FedEx Home Delivery.

Purchased about a month ago on sale and have been very pleased with this product. First thing I did was upgrade the firmware using a usb stick. Just followed the directions in the support section of this site. Took a total of 15 minutes to download the update to the stick and apply it to the tv. Very easy. Netflix performance is very good. I have 15/5MB Fios internet service and have had no pauses or hiccups during playback even when viewing Netflix HD content. Picture quality is excellent, especially for a set in this price range. The sound is also very good for a tv. Was able to use the dlna feature to view pictures and listen to Itunes from our Macbook after installing a media server from Verizon. Guess they made it available to talk to their set top box but it works with this set as well. All in all, a great deal for a tv that offers so much.

I love the TV. Bought it for my bedroom and not as a part of home theater. For watching regular HD tv from Cable and viewing streaming video, it's a great set. Having the built-in LAN connection and support for a Wi-Fi adapter, which came for free, is a definite plus. All the On-demand video options such as Netflix, Amazon Video On-Demand and YouTube right to the set is pretty amazing. Setup was quick and painless. This is a small feature, but the fact that the sexy Sony logo pops up every time you turn on the tv just helps me to feel that I bought a quality set. Good job Sony!

I ordered this television on April 16th and it arrived on the 19th with regular shipping. I was very impressed with the overall build quality of this unit, its connectivity (both wired and wireless. The XMB UI is veery easy to use - even my parents have no trouble lol. The picture and sound quality is unprecedented for the TV of this price. This, surprisingly, currently is one of only a few TVs in SONY's lineup which have the latest BRAVIA Engine 3 and let me tell you - it makes a difference when watching fast moving picture in sports or when watching standard definition video. Yes it is a 720p TV but, let me tell you, on TV of this size it makes absolutely no difference. Sound on this television is great as well. the speakers are at the bottom of the TV and are slightly tilted outwards toward the viewer - this creates a very cool and interesting surround sound imitation. A couple of things that bug me about this uniit is the fact that it cannot read my USB sticks which are 4gb and 8gb in capacity - but it reads 1 and 2gb sticks fine.

I bought this TV from Dell. This is my first LCD TV and my previous TV was a 25" CRT from Panasonic. It has been about 2 weeks with this TV and I really like it! I consider myself a self-taught tech savvy and the set-up was quite easy. I did not have to go through the manual as such except for the internet set up. The best feature that I have liked and have used much of is the internet ready feature. I watch a lot of movies thru netflix and it has been a very satisfying experience. HD channels are very crisp and analog channels are not bad (expected). No complaints for the moment and I'll see how it turns out in the next couple of months. Four HDMI ports adds to its versatility. the Bravia engine 3 seems to provide enough contrast and picture quality. I was surprised by the speakers in this TV and I did not hook up my hometheater system. I am not sure about the reliability of this TV since it is too early to tell. But I will put my faith on SONY and say it is good. In short, for the price ,this is a TV loaded with all features that you may need. For good quality interent streaming, make sure you have atleast 1Mbps.

I purchased this for my exercise room and it is an excellent addition and my wife and I seem to work out a little longer. The 720i is all one needs for a 32inch tv. I have 52 inch 1080i and this little sony 32inch picture is just as good! Good job sony for offering a quality well thought out product for an excellent price.

I had this TV for 3 weeks now, and so far i'm happy. The picture and sound are exceptional. The only bad thing is when you turn on the tv and have the USB wireless router in it, it slows the response of the volume because it trying to register the usb device. So patience you will need! Overall I hope Sony made sure these will last a long time.

Placed the order Thursday, received the TV Saturday morning. Can't get any better than that. I loved the connectivity this TV has. Took me 5 minutes to setup the TV from out of the box. Connected to my home network (hard wired) and I was streaming movies via my PC using DLNA. Can also stream movies via Netflix without any issues. Good picture quality, speakers are great for such a small TV. The only downside I have to say is that the TV does have a cheap plastic feel to it. Wish I'd gone for the 40" TV now, 32" is a little on the small side. Great TV all around.
