This TV has enough HDMI and composite connections to operate an aircraft carrier but no headphone jack. Sony, who single handedly popularized headphones through the creation of the Walkman, couldn't fit in the 3/8 inch square location for a headphone jack? My LG 47LE8500 has a better picture AND a headphone jack. No wonder LG is on the rise and Sony on the decline!

After having this TV 13 months in the same room on the same shelf my PS3 no longer works on this TV and my Cable Audio through the HDMI does not work as well.. They work in the room with other TV's but not this one.. The HDMI ports have completely failed and Sony has failed to offer any help. Heads Up

Picture quality is outstanding. I am not an electronic geek and need assistance to make sure the setup is correct. Support for setup was great, making setup easy. Purchased a sony blue ray. Hookup with the tv was easy. Again, picture quality is awesome. Sony did a good job of integrating peripheral equipment to the tv. I will soon get a sony sound system to hook up to the tv.

Of all the TVs SONY offers the EX500 is the best value of them all, not quite as flashy as the EX700 or EX710 (LED) but it keeps a couple of their important features, 120hz and 1080P. Sports and action movies are amazing and paired with a SONY blu-ray I couldn't ask for a better movie experience. If you're willing to put up with a TV that's 3 inches thick as opposed to the trendy <1 inch thick LEDs then get this TV.

can't complain about the picture - but the price is on the high-side. and like I said for a flat-screen, the television is a bit thick. it would be better if it were razor thin.

This TV took about 10 minutes to be able to play once i opened the box. The remote looks about $5 dollars, but thats just me. The HD is great; I've had the TV for a whole week and I love it. I use the 120 Hz for games, and i turn it off when im watching movies (because you arent supposed to recognize the human-like-dolls the movie producers use as people). The sound seems like it is coming through the back, so i put in some speakers and that problem went away. But other than that, the tv is really worth the price.

Got this TV for my home office/man cave, great picture right out of the box. Sound is pretty good for a flat screen. First thing I did was play Avatar blu-ray movie through my PS3 and was very happy with the colors and the way the special affects looked

Three years ago I let a salesman talk me in to a cheaper bigger set by another manufacturer. I was never happy until it suddenly died. Now, after research I bought the right TV for me at a terrific price. The picture is amazing, and the sound is great. I am watching action movies for the pure fun of the picture quality.

This is our first HDTV LCD and we love it! Easy to hookup and fantastic built-in tuner. We don't have satellite at present but this baby picks up over-the-air signal in HD when available and it looks super incredible. We also purchase a BDP-S360 bluray player and they work together seemlessly. The picture quality for Avatar BD and other bluray discs is just stunning, has to be seen to be believed. Also, the upscale on our old dvd's is amazing. The onscreen controls are simple and easy to adjust and the HDMI hookups were so simple that I had our puppy do it (well, slight exageration, but still very easy). When we are in the market for our larger screen we're definitely going with Sony. As far as the sound, we'll just add-on a surround system when we feel the need. The built-in sound will do just fine for now.

Hi, I've had the 32EX500 in my bedroom now for about a month and I must say I like it. I have it hooked up to a DirecTV Hd-Dvr (HR23/700) via a HDMI cable. The Hd picture quality is Great, the Sd picture quality is Good. I've tried alot of picutre settings and I decided on the Cinema Mode Settings with the Motionflow turned on to Standard, the Ambient Senor turned on, and the Surround sound turned off. I've always liked Sony TVs and this new one is no exception.

I replaced a four year old flat panel lcd with this model and the picture is truly as stunning as Sony claims. HD over the cable is so life-like it looks like you could reach into it (almost 3D). Even a component hookup from my five year old DVD player shows a vast improvement over what I had and I attribute that to the refresh rate. The con (and this is being rather fussy) is that the black glossy trim is refective of any light you have in front of the TV and in some circumstances is distracting. I think I can lean to live with that, however.

Got this tv one week ago. This tv is easy to set up, has more than enough connections to hook up everything. I debated on this version or the 40". I chose this one, because of the current entertainment system cabinet I currently have. I should have bought a little bigger. But I am super delighted with quality of this tv. Compared this to the Samsung for a couple weeks. Still hard to tell the difference between the two, but in the end Sony won and I'm not upset.
