Great TV! Picture is great. I have a powered subwoofer connected to the audio out (switched to variable) and it sounds great. No A / V system, etc. and everone is amazed by the sound. DNLA works grat too. Although, there are quite a few videos it will not play due to format conflict. Oh yeah, and the TV doesn't ''smell weird''. LOL

Got this 46" TV for Christmas. Assembly was easy (2 persons). Plugged in and worked right away. Awsome picture quality, remote seems nice and solid--coupled a divx DVD player and Bluray player to the remote in no time; sound quality from TV speakers seemed low(that's why perfomance 4 stars), attached a 2.1 sound system--now sounds perfect to us. Internet Streaming- love this feature. A real pleasure to view --great picture quality.

The TV is great but after awhile of the TV being on the TV will start to turn on and off without control. Happens only on vivid setting. If I'm on standard it is ok and works great. The TV is also starting to take about 40-45 seconds to actually get a picture. You can actually tell that the TV is on because the backlights on the TV are able to be seen, meaning there's a black picture on the TV. Then after about 35 seconds in that mode you'll see the words BRAVIA on the screen and then a picture will show up. Very annoying. I am very glad I bought the extended service plan. I have seen this problem on another TV before and it was the KDL46XBR9. Hopefully it's a quick and easy fix.

This is a very nice LCD TV for the price. I had an opportunity to see the Samsung 8500 and Sony XBR8; they are definitely better, however they are 3 times more expensive. I will probably buy the XBR8 or one of the newer units this summer and retire this unit to my bedroom. You wont be disappointed with this TV and if you don't have the others next to it, you wont notice the difference. I added a Sony Blu-Ray player and am very happy. If it is a reliable tv then I'll be 100% satisfied.

Purchased this model in 9/08 from Circuit City (1st mistake). Picture is outstanding once the TV is correctly set up. However, after about a half an hour or so of viewing, this LCD model becomes very warm from the inside with the heat making the cabinet almost too warm to touch. The worst part is the smell bacause of the heat interacting with the inside components and creating a very nauseating and pungent smell rising from the top corners of the cabinet. This is 'last years' model but better check this out before buying a new model. I definitely would not buy another 'Z' series model because of this problem. After about an hour the set has to be turned off because the smell with force you to leave the room and also to allow the LCD to cool. Unless you are going to set up a TV like this outside with lots of ventilation, I would not recommend it as the smell from the excessive heat it creates is nauseating and possibly a safety or health concern. Too bad I only got the original factory warranty. Beware and question this product about the heat and smell from the display cabinet before buying.

I have allways been a SONY fan and this bundle has completly blown me away. I had my doubts about cable providing a good signal, but what a clear picture even with 480P broadcasts and the HD channels "WOW". The bundel I got has the Surround system xxx-300 @ 1000w's with the Blue Ray player and what a great picture!!!

I bought this TV with a bundle, and came with a 400 Blu-ray/DVD changer. That was a treat. 46 inch Sony Flat screen with a 400 Disc Changer, and I already had a surround sound system, it made my year and hopefully coming years happy. The TV is fabulous. Intuitive controls, easy navigation, best picture believe me, and great HD resolution. Remote Controls with work with BD/DVD player and with your satellite box. I would say get this and open your eyes to something fabulous.

I just got 52" before few days, and i regret it, dont go for z series, you get so much noise, i tried many different blueray and i notice lots of noise in most of them, tried DVD, was even worse, like you are watching VHS, the color are amazing contrast ok, motion flow was ok, but as i mentioned there are lots of noise, even on most clear blueray movies, in my opinion don't go for z series or you might regret spending money on that.........

I chose the "Z" series for the 240 Motionflow technology and it did not disappoint!! Watched an older Harry Potter DVD with the picture set on vivid and it looked like I was watching live actors on a stage!!! Can't wait to see what Blu-Ray discs look like.
