55" Sony Bravia LED HDTV, it was fine until it stopped working. It is 3yrs old, and the repair shop can not get repair parts. I ask you who expects a $1000 Sony TV to fail after 3yrs? Only used at home, on a table top with ventilation, and not intensively used. I am befuddled. I intentionally purchased the Sony TV, from the Sony Store because I trusted the Sony Brand, but i don't see the point of buying another Sony. The repair shop recommended another major brand starting with "S" which at least has repair parts available.

I have never been more frustrated with a television set than I have been with this Sony TV. The clarity of the picture is not what I was expecting from Sony. It's horrible! I tried for over a week to adjust the picture quality and nothing seems to be easy. I called my cable company to come out to see if it was a signal problem. He changed the cable box, added a signal amplifier and still looked like all the shows and scenes were filmed in an overcast day. I will never again buy a Sony television.

I work at best buy and opted for this model due to the price point. I love Sony products and this is one of the better Sony tv models than is not a 4K. The picture is great for 1080p and the motion is surprisingly really smooth (if the right settings are adjusted correctly... Giving it 4 stars for this reason) I don't care for 3D so I can't say I've tested that feature on this set. The smart features are super easy to use and navigate through (mine still has Amazon, yay!) It was easy to wall mount using a universal mount with the spacers that were provided in the box (using the stand as a mount was a stupid idea, Sony... All it does is confuse people...) Again, picture is great for what it is and I'm happy with my purchase.

Everything was great on the TV except the table stand that was supposed to double as mall mount bracket but did not work I had to buy the extra wall mount bracket .

After my 40" Bravia from 2009 this was a pleasant update. My choice was dependent on keeping my older Bravia working or basically smart/internet connected. Support was solid and helpful. I am glad Sony does not subscribe the Apple doctrine to leave their older models unusable to force new purchases. I bought this Sony specifically as a result of the support team actions to keep my older purchase alive and well.

I purchased this TV to be used as a living room TV. Attached to my TV is a cable box, Sony Blu Ray player, an Xbox One and a Yamaha sound bar. I do like all the various viewing modes and there is plenty of room to customize your own modes. Cinema 1 is the mode I use for when watching movies on the Sony Blu Ray player and the picture looks great. Game mode is the mode I use for the Xbox One. Video games look great on this TV. I also run my cable box through my Xbox One. I leave it on game mode when watching TV this way and it looks fine to me. Football/baseball/hockey all look great though I may experiment with different modes for watching TV via the Xbox One. I use a basic Yamaha sound bar with this TV and it is a plus over standard TV audio. I only knocked off a star because I have this TV in a TV stand and the stand that comes with the TV seems rather weak, almost a little flimsy but other than that I love this TV.

I must have researched 20 different TVs. Once again Sony shows me I should never look anywhere else. This is an incredible top quality television set. Great color out of the box. Unbelievable performance. Don't even think about it any longer. I agonized back and forth over the "others". Here's the bottom line. 3d is not bad like other manufacturers want to say. Gaming is a dream. Picture quality? Rivals any plasma I've seen. Don't think any longer. Buy this. You will thank me later. Btw- shipping was a pleasant surprise. Great care.

The TV arrived in perfect condition. Deposited on the floor just inside the front door by the freight employees. Very nice appearance with a thin bezel around the screen. A nice looking but fairly flimsy stand that allows some rocking of the TV. The TV needed significant adjustments to get a good picture but, once adjusted, the picture is excellent. Especially brightness had to be turned to max even though our room is not bright. Sound is okay for this type of TV, with clear dialogue but virtually no bass. I had a KVL 46XBR8 and this compares favorably except for sound.

My only complaint is that once it was up i could detect a bow or bend on the left upper frame of the TV. The TV build quality is really lightweight so I'm sure this factors in. I doesn't effect the picture as far as my eyes are capable of detecting but it is noticeable when looking at the frame itself.

Never have seen this quality before. A little disappointed with sound quality. Have now attached an older Sony amp/Blue Ray played w/ speakers and sound quality is better. not great yet but still keeping an eye on Sony for a resonably priced new amp/player/ sound system.

Disappointed in the picture quality of this 55" TV. Not as good of a picture as our 8 year old 40" Sony TV. Should have waited until the price came down on the 240 hz Ultra HD TV. Can get this now for about what we paid for the W800B model we bought just this past Spring.

Pros: Good color, good picture, doesn't make noise when you turn it off and on Cons: Sound- the speakers are on the back of the TV! Luckily we have it plugged in to a sound bar. Without that we cannot turn it up enough to hear dialogue clearly. Overall good tv, just be aware of the sound issues.

I believe this television has an outstanding "bang for the buck" quotient. It performs well, although not spectacularly, in every area that I care about. Yes, the sound could be better and the apps could load faster, but at the end of the day I bought this set for the picture. I really appreciate the fact that the screen is not mirror like. I have the set wall mounted in a bright room and it is very easy to watch. When it's off, the screen is unobtrusive even on very sunny days. I'm still discovering how to get the most out of the set and I know my experience will only get better. By the way, I wall mounted the set using the ProForma Gallery Wall Mount. It looks great!
