Screen flickers badly, and out of warranty so not worth fixing. For 2200 dollars should work longer than 13 months.

I had this TV for well over a year now, and i have to say that it is amazing!! the picture is clear the design of the menus and the TV itself is stunning. I'm pretty picky about anything i buy that's tech, and i have to say this TV gave me no problems what so ever! I highly recommend it!!!!!!!!

My friends say I am the pickiest person when it comes to technology and I could not be happier with this television. The blacks are ASTONISHING! I was not interested in an LCD due to the lackluster blacks. This way I get the size I want, the amazing black levels for movies and video games and most importantly, no annoying mirror-like display that you get with a plasma. Absolutely incredible TV. The menus are fantastic and provide a lot of options competitors do not. The only bad thing for me is the HDMI ports are ordered strangely. Normally I would expect ports 1,2,3 on the back and HDMI4 on the side panel. Instead it has HDMI 1 and 4 on the back and 2 and 3 on the side. Oh well. Buy this TV.

Overall, I am happy, but there are some areas around the perimeter that look like starbursts noticeable when the screen is dark.

I choose size over LED T.V. and it was a great choice. The picture is HD perfect the controls are on the right side hidden the remote has the features you use most for example theater mode, etc. My neighbor has an older Sony for years now and still going strong he out lasted two of my 50" T.V.'s so I went with the Sony, I also have a Sony surround sound for years now and never gave me trouble. I am very happy with my choice go for size don't worry too much about LED's go to your nearest Sony Store and see them side by side and you will hardly see the difference.

A little upset that after purchasing this unit, they are now a lot cheaper than when I bought 2 months ago. To the guy with the speaker/sound issues. I don't use mine. Buy an inexpensive Sony home theater system and it'll solve all your problems. Mine was very cost friendly, has 5 DVD/CD capability and all that's missing was a Sony blu-ray player which I purchased awhile ago for the 46" Sony Bravia which has since become our bedroom TV, with yet another inexpensive Sony home theater system. SONY ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!

I recently purchased a refurbished model from the sonystyle website. The free shipping brought it straight to my door in about a week with absolutely NO HASSLES. The TV seemed to be in as good as new shape and in the week I have owned it I am thrilled to once again have a SONY TV in my home. The picture is huge and amazing. The onboard speakers aren't the greatest but I paired it with a Sony Soundbar which more than makes up where the TV lacks. After a week I have nothing bad what so ever to share about my experience and would highly recommend this tv and sony to anyone who was wondering. Two thumbs up!

I have had my EX500 for about four months. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The only item that I am not really happy with, is the sound. I have the TV installed on a stand where my components are directly below the set. It seems like the sound travels directly down and the sound is not very good. I think that a set of reflectors that would send the sound outward would be the solution to the problem, but I have not found any that I can purchase. I am in the process of designing some.

Among the large TVs available today the 60EX500 defenitly the best. The color is amazing! you can see all the details and the picture is very clean. on Blu-ray movies the picture is sooo realistic! its really awsome and entertaining. overall, considering the very fair price I got from http://amzn.to/b9RLrg , I have one thing to say - Just BUY IT! you won't find any better TV in this price range, and even on higher prices.

When I bought this tv, I didn't know anything about it, except it was a SONY, what means quality and reliability. I was afraid, however, that being soooo big the picture would be washed. When the set arrived and I turned it on, I couldn't believe my eyes. It wasn't just big, it was simply the best picture I ever saw!! I have another Sony, the KDL-52W4100 which I love too, but the 60EX500 is much sharper! Contrast is unbellievable! Recommend it highly!!!!

3 months it took me to decide, but I finally made the ‘Right Decision’. I was struggling between a Samsung 55” Plasma or pushing my budget for Top of the line 52” BRAVIA NX800. I wanted all the latest bells & whistles but was sacrificing more screen real estate to get it. A local sales guy convinced me to go with the SONY 60" BRAVIA EX500 & let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. Sure it only has 120Hz motion flow using the BRAVIA Engine 2 technology with CCFL backlight & not to mention the grayish trim along the bottom of this series is not the sexist; but once you have this TV mounted on the wall & you are sitting at least 17 feet away, you will not be disappointed with the picture quality, clarity & performance of this 60 inch screen. It’s absolutely amazing.

I have been shopping tvs for awhile and had bought the Samsung LED 8000 man this tv blows it away and had Samsung plasma 58" and still this tv blows it away with no slick design but I it bought for the picture not the look. My Samsung led had nice picture but the motion was blurry as heck and back lighting was bad and last the sound man can't get any worse for the money. I felt why Spend that much if you can't get all or close to all good sound, picture, great tv. I'm very happy with tv no blur and good sound that's what I like.

Very nice TV for the money, I know the LED lit are the newest and greatest, but when going 60" I would rather have reliable older style back lighting. This TV has all the hook ups you could ever need, 1080P, Just enough features and settings, and it looks sweet hanging on the wall. Just upgraded from a Sony SXRD, picture clarity is amazing. Bottom line, compare the size, features, and price to last years Sony LCDs and you can't beat this one.
