Our Sony KDL 75W850C has had frequent software error reports and blackouts since Sony sent a software update last week. Has anybody else had similar problems or can they suggest patches? The problem seems to be largely in the Android app operating system. We get frequent messages saying one system or another has stopped functioning and are given the choice essentially to approve this malfunction and move along. It's confusing to me and distressing to my TV-addicted wife. The set is too big and costly to throw out.

Love these tv. Replaced a plasma that was 32 inches. Great color and features . Love Amazon and Netflix Apps. if you do not care aboiut 4k then buy this. Great price now that it has come down. Easy set up and a great remote. Very Happy. Wish it had three HDMI inputs instead of two.

I have owned this for over a year. It is my first Sony HDTV. I always thought my Samsungs were better but I was wrong. This picture is so clear you would think it is 4K. Tons of Apps and a great menu. The Picture is huge but the tv is really thin. And it is a beautiful unit even when it is off. It is in my theater room and I get a lot of compliments on it. No motion blur during ball games and my 3d blu rays look stunning. Fast wi fi also. When the market is better for $k I will buy a new set and it will be a Sony. Oh I also just bought a Sony 40 inch for the bedroom.

Quite easy to set up but the initial documentation is a bit too sparse. The TV is priced well and good value considering the features and picture quality - the picture quality is fantastic and as expected from Sony. The TV sound is OK but not very powerful for a large room - if you use a cinema sound system like us that is not a problem. However there are some niggles - the Android O/S is very slow (changing channels gets slow) and makes the use of You View frustrating - in the end I turned it off and everything works so much quicker. Perthaps "off" as default with the option to turn it on would be better ? Standard Freeview works very well so it is not a big deal - just turn on You View when you need to, then turn it off again! Also the ability to directly record from the TV onto a USB drive is not well documented - you have to turn off You View and then register the drive to do this - catch up TV is available without You View. Also not convinced about Netflix - used the free month then cancelled!! Overall very happy with the TV - if you are looking for a decent set, take a look and compare the picture quality with other TVs.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago,did not know what I was going to get when I was in the store but when they mentioned what you can do with it & the advanced features compare to other tv's,had to buy it and I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend.

I,ve had this tv for a week, very easy to set up, the wifi was particularly easy to connect. I'm still finding my way around but early days I'm impressed, picture quality is excellent.

This T.V didn't work properly from the day I got it and, only after 18 days, has broken down. There is no proper picture and has yellow and orange vertical stripes on the screen.

I had to get a replacement as it had significant bleed and cloudy issues at the bottom left and right corners. However, the replacement was much better and am happy with it. I wish it displayed the frame rate in the osd though like my old tv. It only shows 24p. Picture quality is sharp and punchy, perfect for bluray or media centre. And the Android OS should keep it flexible and up to date, so should be future-proof for a while!

Worked straight out of the box and was very simple to set up. It works with both my Virgin Tivo box and normal Free View. Also easy to switch to my DVD hard-drive and my other surround sound cinema DVD. Also I connected a brilliant Sound Box by Optical connection.

Sony quality TV with Android apps. Connectivity with home server for streaming my movies is awesome, remote control on my phone and HDD recording remotely over the web... it's a tech dream. Also you can turn off the front LED - essential!

I bought this recently and am so pleased I did. There are a lot of features and everything is so easy to use. Picture can be adjusted easily for own preference as to colour and brightness. Has Netflix which I use and a dedicated button on remote for its use. Very neat and doesn't overwhelm the room.
