Sony FS7/FS7II Cameras

The LA-EB1 Mount Adaptor allows direct attachment of B4 lenses to Sony's PXW-FS7 and PXW-FS7M2 XDCAM camcorders. This enables camera operators to use B4 lenses for shooting at high zoom ratios with a deep depth of field (DoF), as typically required for news production applications.
Use B4 lenses with FS7 and FS7 II
The LA-EB1 mount adaptor allows attachment of B4 lenses, enabling shooting with a deep DoF at high zoom ratio. With the adaptor fitted, an F drop as small as 0.6 maintains bright images (by using the 2K center scan mode).
Quick, easy lens exchange
B4 lenses can be fitted quickly and easily to the FS7 and FS7II with no tools required.
Clean, low aberration images
ALAC (Auto Lens Aberration Compensation) decreases chromatic aberration when using B4 lenses (Offered in Version 1.1, anticipated early 2020. Requires DC supply from CBK-FS7BK or XDCA-FS7).
Optimal B4 lens operation
Compatibility with the communication interface of B4 lenses supports news production, just like shoulder-mounted camcorders. Recording Start/Stop can be performed using the lens-mounted REC button, while servo zoom supports one-handed operation. Lens information such as iris and focus can be displayed in the camera viewfinder and saved as metadata for use in post-production.
Maximized use of lens assets
The flexibility to use B4 or E-mount lenses with the FS7 and FS7 II allows broadcasters and rental companies to maximize the use of B4 and E mount lens assets, allowing image capture with both a deep and shallow DoF from a single camera.
