Happy To Still Find Them Available

I had bought a pair of these years ago, and found them to be exactly what I needed to use with my computer in a shared living space. It keeps my audio for disturbing my wife, and they isolate me from the room's other noises like her TV. My wife's recent interest in having better headphones of her own to use with her laptop led me to research the pros and cons of all the more recent options. At the end of the day the Sony MDR-7510 was still the best combination of performance, comfort and value.

Sony MDR-7510 Headphones - Great value for money from Adorama

I used another brand of headphones for ten years and wanted to try something new. After hours of research, I decided to try Sony's MDR-7510 headphones. There are many brands and models to choose from, and no model of headphones will suit everyone. These are working well for me. they're lighter and have more bass than my previous headphones. They don't sound hyped to me, they are professional studio headphones with accurate and trustworthy sound reproduction. The build quality is very good, in my opinion. If you're realistic about what you expect from headphones, you might reach the same conclusion I have - that there are many good-to-great headphones to choose from. Only experience can guide you to the best headphones for your needs. Headphones are definitely not "one type is best" for all users. At the end of the day I prefer the MDR-7510's and find them a great value for the money. I think they'll hold up fine with careful use, and that's how I will use them. If you need tank-like build quality you'll pay for it one way or another...probably a couple of ways... All I can say is that these headphones have been praised by many for their smooth sound and comfortable fit. I have an XL head size and they work for my 24" head circumference. I like the sound and can vouch that they are very efficient...they get loud much quicker than my previous headphones did and maintain clarity well past my comfort level for headphone listening. From my experience, they will hold up well and provide very consistent results for both tracking and mixing. Adorama provided their usual excellent service and communication. Highly recommended! If you like the studio standard Sony MDR-7506 headphones, I think you would really enjoy the 7510 headphones. Be aware that the 7510's don't fold into themselves like the 7506's do, if that's important to you for travel, etc.

I had bought a pair of these years ago, and found them to be exactly what I needed to use with my computer in a shared living space. My wife's recent interest in having better headphones of her own to use with her laptop led me to research the pros and cons of all the more recent options. At the end of the day the Sony MDR-7510 was still the best combination of performance, comfort and value.

An excellent choice for both reference monitoring and audio mixing applications, the 7510 extends the MDR-7500 line with a new fixed design of rugged construction. With 50mm drivers utilizing PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) diaphragms, these headphones provide a wide frequency response, broad dynamic range and accurate sound reproduction.

The 7510 offers high power handling capability and uses neodymium magnets and OFC (oxygen-free copper) voice coils. Noise isolation earpads with pliable cushion material conform to the natural shape of the ear and provide comfort and acoustic isolation.
