This is a great pair of earbuds. The design keeps the earbuds firmly in place. Plus the sound is fantastic. Great value for the price. I intend to buy another pair, and I highly recommend these.

As these earphones are subjected to more and more sweat, the volume progressively decreases to the point you can only hear a whisper from each side. I confirmed this was the logical explanation by opening the second set I purchased for comparison with the same Sony MP3 player. I could not believe how much louder the new pair were compared to the old pair I had been using for approximately 6 months. To be absolutely sure about my conclusion, I connected the old earphones to a different Sony MP3 player and the volume was just as soft as with the other player. If you buy these earphones expecting 6 months of usage, then you won't be disappointed. But if you buy them expecting them to last for many months, then you will be terribly disappointed.

I like the way these headphones fit and stay put, but after using a dozen times or so, the right side began to fade and now has almost no volume at all. Too bad - I wanted to love them.

I got them almost a year ago and I was satisfied with quality of the sound, but recently my right ear bud stopped working after getting in contact with a single drop of sweat. Durability should be number one priority while making sport headphones, because if I wanted headphones that sound good, I wouldn't be in a market for sport ones.

I bought these about a month ago and first time I used them, there was a consistent crackle noise in the left ear bud. Has never went away.

I've had two break where sweat causes one of the ears to stop working. The first one broke on day 91 of a 90 day warranty. The second one broke on day 31 (thankfully)

I just bought a 2nd pair after using the 1st set for one year. On my Sony Walkman NMZ-B183F, the 1st pair has deteriorated (significantly in the right ear) so I have to have them at 30 volume on the Walkman. I recall they were 26 at first. The brand new ones used today, play the same song from the same Walkman at 23 and are louder. I run and cycle with them and they occasionally get wet (but not soaked). Sound quality is good, especially bass. They stay in my ears pretty well but lots of wind noise on the bike like many other earphones. What is the warranty on my new ones? There is no indication on the instructions or the package.

Bought these to replace my REALLY old Sony headphones that were outside-the-ear speakers that wrapped around. After being unsuccessful at finding those type of headphones anymore, I settled for these ear buds with wrap-arounds. I figured they'd last forever like all of my previous headphones since it was Sony. WRONG. After about a month the sound in the left ear went out. I realized it's because of my sweat. I can get about 20 minutes of good sound then boom it's gone because I sweat so much. Why would you make sport headphones that aren't sweat-proof? Worst headphones ever- just wasted $20 on terrible headphones and now I'm going to have a find a new brand.

After somewhat irregular use one of the speakers stopped working. The headphones never really had a great sound output to begin with but with one side not working they are basically useless and destined for the bin. Kind of expected better quality from Sony, even for a low end product.

Sony, I love most of your products, but this is terrible rubbish. In other words, it’s trash, garbage and all the other descriptives. I have a list of problems to share about this product; the first being that they are not sweat-proof. The sound dies if a drop gets through the holes to the driver. The second failing is the isolation. There isn’t any. I was able to have a full conversation with my sister listening to Rush(rock band) with my iPod at just over half volume. There is no earbud, the driver just sits in you ear cavity with no seal, and blasts noise in the general direction of your ear canal. Next is the sound quality; bass does not exist in these headphones, the mids and highs have no clarity, because there is no seal, and all of it is full of static. After you give these a good douse of sweat there is no sound quality, because there is no sound. Next up, the adjustable band. If the band had a smooth curve, it might have worked. Instead, they put a wave in the band halfway down that digs into the back of my ears enough to give my a headache after half an hour, no matter how I adjusted it. It wasn’t just me either, I had ten others try it on, and all of them said the same. Now, the wire is thin and I suspect it will break easily. The shirt-clip is not attached to the wire, and detaches every time you open it. So if you want to adjust the clip, first you have to thread the wire back through it. Because of this, the clip was always falling off. Honestly, your better off with those poor airline earbuds. These headphones did end up in the trash can (rubbish bin). (Please don’t pay attention to Schnietzi’s review. He is the only person with actual grammar that gave above two stars, and I find myself very suspicious of that. Either he’s paid to review it, since he didn’t actually list those (different brands), or he meant to review a different set of earbuds. Seriously though, don’t waste your money. If you want good earbud sound, then buy Sony’s MDR-EX10LP. Those are great sound $14.99, and unless you sweat a ridiculous amount or run in the rain, they will probably survive your workout. Otherwise, buy more expensive earbuds or look to a different brand. In my experience, JayBird BlueBuds and FreedomSprint are the best workout headphones, give them a look. Sony, these are the things I want to see change on these earbuds: A smooth band, and actual seal, the same driver as the EX10LP or EX37B, an attached shirt-clip, and most importantly, make it sweat-proof!

I'm not sure there's a better substitute for loose ear pods or headphones, so this may be the best solution. But they're a bit hard to squeeze the top and bottom lobes of my ears through the holder, and once in, they don't really press the speaker tightly into my ear, meaning I'm losing perhaps 50% of the possible sound. I hope these issues can be solved, but I still recommend the earphones as they are.

Have used these headphones a few times whilst running and they are really comfortable, the sound is good and to date have stayed in place every time.

I should have read the reviews. As soon as I start to sweat the volume and bass disappear entirely! No to mention the bud part falls out of my ear and I have not been able to adjust them so that they stay put. I spend my hour workout fighting with these ear buds!!! The jack is another problem entirely! It does not fit snuggly into any outlet so that when I can actually hear whats coming out of the headphones it only transmits to one side or the other. It falls out of the treadmill and elliptical I use that have TVs you can watch mounted on top. I am so upset with these headphones and they are ruining my morning workouts. I am not longer focused on what I"m doing and can't enjoy my carefully selected playlists that pump me up. I have already purchased a new pair...not from SONY.

Sometimes we have to do without in order to appreciate something. I misplaced my Sony headphones and ended buying two pairs (different brands) - not because I didn't like the Sony ones, but just to see how the others compared to mine. Words can't describe how unhappy I was with both of them - even though they were more expensive ($30 and $50, respectively). Fortunately, I found my Sony headphones and now I am in heaven again. There is just no comparison to the other two in terms of comfort and sound (not to mention affordability). I will NEVER buy another kind - these are truly the best headphones for athletes like myself.

It's very nice and quality headphones. Appropriate for running and for the gym. Very nice sound but I'll want to have some more bass...

Bought these as they are marketed as sport headphones for my workout. likes: They don't fall out dislikes: During my run I sweat and this unfortunately stops the sound. Once the headphones dry up they work again. Of course that defeats the entire purpose of these units. I've tried not to sweat but was unsuccessful. I do apologize.

The Sony MDRAS200 Sports In-Ear Headphones (Pink) are uniquely designed with loop-hanger structure, great for listening to music during intense workouts without worrying about the earbuds falling out.
