I have buying these earbuds for many years from walgreens. Today I went to buy another pair and discovered they are no longer for sale. Sony has discontinued them and I think they have made a colossal mistake. These were the best sounding earbuds on the market.

I bought my first pair of these earbuds about 5 years ago, and now I refuse to buy any other. I have tried numerous brands of ear buds ranging in price from $10-$40 and none even compare to the sound quality I get from these. Full stereo sound, great volume output, and they're only $10. One downside is that the wires are just barely soldered inside, so there is a good chance of getting a buzzing or completely losing sound in one or both after a good snag or several on the cord. On average mine last me 6-8 months before I inevitably trip over them, but for $10 I don't really care that much. The shape is a little awkward and may take some getting used to, but totally worth it.

These head phones are nice if your just looking for some nice cheap headphones. They are VERY loud, right now im listening to music on only level 4(out of 100) but the thing that makes you realize they are cheap is that they HURT!! Its not soft at all. And it seems really big to go in an earlobe. Ill give it 4 out of 5 stars. I love sony i just now know its better for me to spend a little more.

I've had earbuds that cost three times as much as these Sonys but were awful in comparison. Besides being an excellent value ($10 at most retailers), the sound quality is amazing. Clear and even, doesn't give a false bass boost or shrill treble rise. Very musical. Plus, the windup case is a great bonus; keep mine in my pocket all the time. Go to uLoops to hear songs by JRSIV made whilst using Sony E-828's...

I needed cheap pair of headphones for a school field trip. My other pair had blown out after a few years of use. I saw these in Wal-Mart and thought I'd give them a try, since they were Sony and I've never been disappointing by Sony products. I tried them out later, and found that they work phenomenally. The sound quality is great; I haven't experienced any static yet. They are comfortable aswell, and the winding case works very well and protect the haedphones perfectly. They are also very cheap, which is a plus. I recommenced these if you just need some cheap, amazing earbuds. My only complaint is that they sometimes fall out if I move around too much. But, this is a common problem with earbuds.

The Sony MDR-E828LP earbud headphones deliver much more than sleek aesthetics. The super-light, in-ear form makes them comfortable to wear and the Sony Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit uses sound chamber ducts that offer high sonic output for great-sounding music. A compact winding case is included for keeping the wires neatly untangled while not in use.
