To put it simply - these headphone did not work. They were advertised as noise cancelling headphones, but despite being powered and "operating" there was literally no difference in sound or quality between their ordinary use and noise cancelling mode. Really wish I didn't make this purchase, unfortunately. These headphones literally went straight into the trash.

I bought these to use at the gym. They play loud rock music while providing television on most cardiovascular equipment. The set works well except for the occasional 5th umpire noise. Support was extremely helpful and it seems my cell 0hone was causing 8th reference when downloading a message or email. The result was I 0urchased a second set to have in stand by just 8th case.

We use the headphones for our air travel as they help mute out the engine sounds. We also use them for ground tours since I have a hearing aid and I don't have to try to use the ear buds. They fold to a small ball and pack easy.

There is absolutely no difference in sound quality when switching on the noise cancelling feature. Purchased for regular travel I wouldn't be surprised if they break within the next 6 months, the construction quality is really poor. Basically these are really expensive sound muffling headphones. Would return if I could but unfortunately I purchased them in a USA airport at duty free. Purchased Sony over other brands as they're standards are usually pretty good - hoping this isn't setting a new standard for Sony's future!

Overall Rating will be zero stars. Noise cancellation a total scam, there's more noise coming in with the noise cancellation on. Material, feels like plastic lightweight but really uncomfortable. I will like to talk to give my opinion to someone at Sony so they can understand how awful this product is. Product specs are promising but reality is just a bad. If someone is planning on buying this product DON'T BUY IT!!! is just a waste of money, returning them will be more expensive. Sony you have been a GOD on great products, this one a BIG FAIL!

Do exactly what it says on the tin. Headphones, that supply music to my ears! Noise cancelling feature not working great but maybe my kids are more noisy than the 'test kids' when in development
