I have used previous models of these head phones and I still enjoy them. My job is all about audio and my co-workers liked them so much we ordered enough for everyone times two. the lazyboy style comfort is amazing. The cord is my favorite part, it's very durable and the long so that you can walk around the office and still stay plugged in. Overall amazing phones for the home and office.

Great construction unlike the v700 and the sa1000. I believe these will last a while. My v700 and sa1000 both broke where the head piece meets the cup...but the sound was awesome. These v900hd sounds better than my previous headphones and the construction seems solid...thank you Sony!

First of all I see a lot of people saying that the leather flakes apart on these or the padding falls apart. well I've had these headphones for 5 years. I bought them from an authorized sony retailer and have used them often in all weather conditions, at the gym, in the studio and at shows as a dj and they are holding up great. they are really quality headphones all around. I also am a big fan of the unique color way. I get compliments on them everywhere I go. much nicer then the standard black or silver. my only gripe would be to add an interchangeable cord and maybe offer a shorter straight cord along with the longer looped cord at purchase. other than that great investment. flat in the studio. comfortable for playing at shows. :D

I love the sound these headphones have, great bass, nice mids, and the highs are good w/no sibilance. The issue I mainly have is the cord that comes with the headphones themselves. It's too long for portable usage, it tangles easily, and it'd not easy to change to a shorter straight cord. I wish these had a removable cord, so I could use my own - I'd wear these out & about w/no problems then. I do love them, just change the cord,...and let us have a choice of either BROWN or BLACK!!! I'd LOVE them in BLACK with a DETACHABLE CABLE!!!

The headphones work very well but the biggest problem (in my opinion) is the color. I DJ every now and then and normally I try to match everything I use, black and silver. These headphones would be better if they could be changed to a different color material.

These are incredible headphones. It's hard to believe that the material that comes in contact with humans is inferior; and flakes after a few years of ownership. Intolerable!

Overall the headphone is excellent in sound except for the material they used to cover the padding for the head and ear that flakes off and cracked easy.

Using these through a cell phone or mp3 player just doesn't do them justice. They sound fantastic but it left me wanting more. I plugged them into my 2400ES receiver and was totally blown away by the detail hiding in my music. So much clarity in voice and instruments. They manage to push through together and not over power one another. The low end is not exaggerated like on other dj headphones. Only downside is the brown color, lots of comments on how odd they look. Also, any potential buyers should avoid the fake pairs on ebay. They sell for around 30 dollars and have a very purplish tint on the outside, which should be gloss black. These are not genuine Sony cans being sold on ebay. You get what you pay for!

I'm a dj, prducer, and avid music lover. these headphones are just what i've been looking for. i have a small head, and as a result, pioneer headphones slip off too easily and aren't tight enough to keep sound from leaking in. these sony's are designed to cup your ear fully, causing the lows to put pressure on your ears if listening for an extended period of time without removing them. they have amazing resonse for sound quality with powerful bass, which is what's needed when you got a poorly eq'ed monitor crackling 3 feet to your right. the only downside i think is they don't rotate, just have flipping earcups. overall, a great buy. i got them for christmas :]]

The Sony MDR-V900HD studio headphones reproduce a natural sound quality with its 50mm driver. The MDR-V900HD has a specially designed, high-definition driver that achieves wider frequency response and remarkable sound reproduction up to 80KHz. Vocalists and DJs will appreciate the reversible ear cups, which allow them to hear external sounds naturally while simultaneously listening through one side of the headphones. The fold-up design allows for easy storage when not in use or while traveling.
