These earphones are very good for the money . l pay a $100 for JBL E40. Sony was just as good. The volume was better than E40.

After using these headphones for only three months, I was walking along listening to music and suddenly the sound blew out of the right side. Until then they had been great, but I was hoping they'd last longer than three months! Now only the left headphone works.

They are good for the price, this was my second pair, first ones broke and I got replacements, the next day.

I have had a pair of these for four years, now. I have a Logitech 5.1 speaker system on my computer (I'm a former musician; I want great sound) along with a high end sound card, and the ZX100 headphones sound superior to the speakers. (The reason why I'm buying a new pair is that I stepped on my current pair by accident. These are great headphones, not a great skateboard!)

they dont have much bass, like beats by doctor dre, but the acoustics on it is good on them. if you bass boost the somg, you get more bass.

I went through 5 different headphones in one year, then I bought these. I've used them every day for 4 years and they still work as well as they did out of the box. At this rate, the earpads will wear out before anything else. While the sound quality is not the best, it's durability is better then many other headphones that sell for 10x the price! Very much worth the purchase.

We bought three of these headphones for our children and I bought one for me. Within four months all four of the headphones fell apart! Unfortunately it was after the 90 day warranty. I would not recommend these to anyone.

When I bought these headphones, I didn't know what to expect, considering the price, but I'm happy with the quality and the design too! The only problems that I seem to have, are that they're not very comfortable -my ears hurt a little after wearing them for a short while-, and that the sound quality is good but not great! However, I personally think, that these headphones are worth buying, mostly because the price is consistent with the quality, and also because I think Sony is a very respectful company with very good products, so I know that I won't be having problems with my headphones any time soon!

Relatively good build quality, feel quite sturdy. Good overall sound for such a cheap headphone, great for casual out and about listening.

I brought these about a month ago and when i first got them they were great, sound quality was good and at the price they were it was fantastic. However, recently I had picked them up from my shelf and had notice that the part connecting the headphone to the bit that goes over your head had clean snapped in half; I have purposely taken very good care of these headphones so for it too have snapped so easily I hadn't a clue how. It has been disappointing as I had only had them for a month and they were great up until the durability of the product let it down. But for the price they are a good buy, just be extra extra careful and mine seemed to snap suddenly without anything to cause it, as I previously said they were well looked after.

These headphones have excellent sound quality, but their lack of noise cancellation lets a lot of background noise in. The background noise is not necessarily audible but it does kind of drown out your music which makes for less awesome sound quality. But in a quiet room without much background noise, they do have awesome sound quality.

Good quality and sound for the money paid. Like that the ear pads rotate to lay flat. Use to watch movies on my ipad. Don't like "in the ear" type of ear buds.

I bought the item for my 4 and 8 year olds because they like to be around us while they are playing games and watching movies. I have also used them a couple of times. For the price, you can't go wrong. The range isn't very dynamic but I expected that for $15.

These headphones are very good for the price that you pay for them. In my experience, cheap over-ears don't last long and have terrible sound. These are worth the price. They certainly aren't miracle headphones, but they are durable. They are completely plastic. Probably not the best for people with very large heads. They are good for watching movies and videos; but if you're a music fanatic, the same amount of money would be better spent on Sony's DR-EX12IP in ears. In ears tend to have better quality in low price range, but they can't beat high price over-ears for sound quality. This is an un-bias opinion. I do own these headphones. I also have reviews on Sennhieser, Shure, and Apple headphones.

Definitely better than Dr Dre Beats and also better than skull candy. They dont crackle or sputter. Sony must have contacted Albert Einstein from beyond the grave, Jk for advice. The best head sets especially for the price, Sony....You rock!! I am open to make a commercial for free to advertise these head sets ...pinky promise Sony!!

I got the white headphones as a gift and they are truly amazing I've had them for two years and they still sounded amazing. the only problem is the cord is long and gets caught on things so mine recently broke but I will defiantly buy another pair this time in black :)

A friend of mine had a pair of these for a while, until he broke them and got skullcandy headphones. I had listened through both and I thought these were better, so I bought these. Best $20 I have ever spent. Sure, the chord's shorter than your average chord, but I don't mind. These are comfortable headphones that pack a great mid and treble range. And most importantly: great bass. I never liked Beats or built-in-bass-boost headphones, so I never wanted to fork over that money for bass that overpowers the music. When I say great bass, I mean that it is clear and well balanced. Therefore, I say to you this: better than beats, for a fraction of the price. Now for functionality: I listen to everything, save rap, hip-hop, and country. I can tell you that when listening to a good Muse track, like United States of Eurasia, with these headphones, for the first time, it was as if I never heard that song before. It was so clear, and so beautiful, I could not believe that these were only $20. I was listening to the Chick Corea/Bela Fleck album, The Enchantment, with these, and man, that piano never sounded so alive. Even my favorite recording of "Rhapsody in Blue" sounded better than ever. Long story short, don't expect Beats, expect more.

Do not expect wonders, but in overall the price/value ratio for a Sony headset is unbeatable!

These headphones offer amazing clarity and depth, what they lack in low end extension they make up for in mid-bass and vital frequencies. I have used high end two way and three way headphones and these my not beat the sound quality but with the average 254-320kbps track quality used during DJ performances or mixing live acts these work wonders. Mind you these are $20 headphones, but for practical everyday use just listening to your collection or gigging they can't be beat for value and comfort. I personally grab a new pair of the white MDR-ZX100 phones for every wedding I perform and ask the bride and groom to sign the headband when the night is through. They think its great and I get a reminder from each wedding I have the honor of performing for. Buy a pair, your wallet and your ears will thank you!

Picked these babies up earlier and spent a few hours in my studio with them. I produce a lot of hip hop and trance and I gotta admit they compare to my Sennheiser monitors. What a deal! =-)

I had these headphones for 2-3 weeks. I wear glasses, so it's rather uncomfortable to have this fit so tightly around the head. It can get really uncomfortable if your head is wide. The cushion of the headphone cup is also rather uncomfortable. But other than that, this headphone is really good for the price! I got it for $12, free shipping. :) Definitely worth the price. Love it so far. The sound quality isn't as good as I expected it to be though. If you can afford it, buy a more expensive headphones. If you're under budget, this is definitely a good starter headphones.
